Welcome Andi & Sparkle xxx Hi Rache , I am still grappling with that whole emotional eating thing as well. Listened to Bob (are you ready mp3) lately?
I have a new pc (woot!) and Dean off work this week for a mini break plus I now have to take the boys as PA in the mornings for the foreseeable future (NOT amused about that) so I am around in the background but hopefully back more later on.
I am shattered so will catch up as and when xxxxxx

Morning all. Morning Neen. Hope everyone is well today. Still on liquids but plodding along. Finding I have a bit more energy so tackling a few jobs in the flat that are well overdue. Hope everyone has a good day.

I just did my housewifery with my ipod blaring in my ears, thinking about how I'm going to feel this summer when I can't hide under my huge jumpers anymore...hmmm...I wonder if I can get my butt in gear in time for a slinkier hot weather wardrobe.
I must not get distracted and postpone exercising etc this year....say that every year mind !!!!

I have just been talking to my sister about exercising. She is doing WW at the moment and is doing really well. She started going to zumba classes but felt she wasn't getting enough from them so has started using the WiiFit Plus. She is doing about 1 hour 20 minutes a day and it is really helping. There is no way I can exercise for that long. 20 minutes is about my limit! Walking is the most beneficial for me to help regain my mobility. I just wish the weather would brighten up a bit - still very nippy! You will do it Neen. Your days are so full I can imagine it is hard to find the time to fit it in.

I have built up to an hours brisk walk a day on the treadmill before now and I am sure I can again. It's just making a start.
Are you able to get a treadmill and maybe break it up into 20 minutes , 3 times a day?
I know doing exercise like that is really effective, doesn't have to be all out crazy , just consistant.
I would love to do Zumba but no way would I go to a class till I was nearly at goal.
I used to love dancing but since I got to my heaviest , I lost my coordination :( I hope that I can get in a few dancey type workouts at some point. I have the full set of core rhythms workouts amongst quite a few others I have collected and that is similar to Zumba.
It's the first few days of getting into an exercise regime that I find hard. Specially when it's cold...just wanna curl into a ball on the sofa!!
We're going to get going though this week right?
Even walking on the spot waving a couple tins of beans around for 10 minutes is something most of us can promise to do to start with! :)

Wow an hour is good going. I am sure you will get back up to that level. Unfortunately I live in a second floor flat which has not got the room for a treadmill. I do have a cross trainer which is doing a splendid job as a clothes horse right now:D. One of my targets is to get down to the maximum weight limit for it as I am scared to get on it right now in case something shears off it under the strain of my excess. I live 100 yards from a lovely park so I have no excuse about getting out and walking and enjoying some fresh air. Just need to wrap up warm and get out there!

Morning all :) am up and have been a while. Got tummy ache which I've had the last couple of nights. I suspect its cos I had more carbs the last couple of days. Must be my body not used to them. I do feel very swollen in the stomach. I'll try a few days of low carb see if it makes a difference. Weather has been grotty so not been out walking either. Well today is a new day :) let's see what we can make of it hey banders? :) xx

Morning all. The weather is horrible today. Hi Neen and Rache. Neen how is your day so far? Rache I hope you feel better soon. Carbs are a real issue. One thing I will miss is rice. Bread I can do without and I am not a big spuds fan anyway although I have it mashed at the purée stage. I read that rice can really stretch your pouch so it looks like I will have to stay away from it. I did wonder if the odd bit once a month would do too much damage? Anyone have any thoughts on this? What about things like rice noodles or egg noodles?

Morning Tranquil x I just got back from dropping the boys at school.
They've been pretty good this week so grateful for what we have had so far.
I'm not really a rice lover anyway so I have had it a couple times but a very small portion. It certainly is filling.
Also I have had spuds, pasta and bread. I find them really filling and it depends how they are cooked and served as far as how bulky they are.
Obviously they do cause problems if I'm feeling tight restriction when I eat them. This varies for me daily really.
I like carby food but I know it is not very good as far as my personal weight loss goes. I have got into some bad habits eating bread too often so I hope I can wean myself back off it!
Being winter, I think it's difficult to avoid carbs because , I certainly crave the stodgy comfort foods more ..I'm sure as it warms up, bread, spuds etc will be a lot easier to resist.

Hi Neen. Glad things are a little more settled this week. I get terrible bloating if I eat any kind of white bread so avoid it. I did wonder if I am wheat intolerant. I am going to experiment with things once I get past the purée stage to see what suits. I really want to avoid just eating the same things as it gets very boring and I think your body adjusts to it. I am going to keep it guessing:D.

I think wheat upsets a lot of people so it's good to find alternatives. Carbs should be the last thing on a plate we eat anyway, so hopefully you will be filling up on protein and veg first and not really have room for any carbs.
Maybe cous cous, low GI stuff like millet etc, wild rice , wholemeal pasta, melba toasts, ryvitas, soya and linseed bread are the carbs that are very dense and also better for weight loss.

Hi everyone, hope you're all keeping well.

TB we regularly have noodles, I find they're fine and my son loves them so it's an all round pleaser. I also eat Krisprolls as I find them so filling. Hth.

Neen, I laughed when I read about the walking on the spot with the cans of beans as I do the same! The time passes really quickly watching tv so I find it easy to keep to.

Rache, how're you feeling today?

And I hope everyone else is well.

I had my first fill today, the surgeon told me that most people comment that it wasn't as bad as they thought, but I had to be different and it took ages to find mine and it was quite uncomfy, I'm an awkward sod!! So I'm on fluids for two days and then sloppies, slowly working my way up to normal textures. He seemed happy with my progress and seems to think I have my head in the right place (that's got to be a first!!)

Take care all xx

hi all.

Morning all.

Hi CC and yes. I tried to PM when you were due to see Mr K but it would not let me - have you got your settings to friends only? Sorry to hear things are not well with you - anything we can do to help?

Well done on the weight loss Sarah - you are going great guns. I can sympathise with the fill experience. Mine was the same. Had a lovely bruise afterwards:D.

How is everyone else fairing? At least it is the weekend and the weather seems to be picking up although it is still cold. Mr TB has promised to take me on a walk in the park this weekend to test out my mobility on a long walk. Will be a big test for me as to how far I can get before I have to stop for a rest. I do not have long before I have to return to work and I need to be able to walk to stand any chance of continuing in my job if I am realistic.

Hope everyone has a blessed day.
