February 2014 Surgeries

Hey, don't be too disheartened, you have to equate for swelling, gas, bloating etc.. Give it a few weeks and you should see it coming off xx Kirsty

Hi and welcome bandito :) i was banded 6th feb although still sore scars am doing fab the wind still comes and goes but not as bad as first week lol Georgie hun dont get all disheartened over a lb hun, you are going to encounter many gains along the way as well as great losses. Look at the big picture, you have already had a fab loss (pre op diet) its got to slow down while your body is adjusting as Bandito says it could be for any silly reason its appeared, my advise is to stay away from the scales until your body has gotten used to it all. Hey its bound to rebel a bit now its only getting a small amount of calories lol just wait until your fully healed and eating more normally it will shift hun honest. My friend who was by passed at beginning of feb had couple of weeks of loosing nothing and was real disheartened but now shes relaxed about it and everything is getting back to normal the weight is shifting. Big picture hun :) chin up huge hugs x x x x

matra sounds like your doing brill , I decided not to weigh for 2 weeks after my op because of the gas operation and I new my weight would be up and down was stunned when I had lost a stone in 2 weeks have decided to weigh every 2 weeks also if u don't drink enough or get enough calories in your body rebels I am 2 weeks 3 days and on average have 3 meals 2 snacks , I drink 6 cups squash , B=Weetabix L=fortimel drink D=soup 2 snacks = I actimel and one mullerlight I have built this up over the 2 weeks x

Oh BTW - Hello to all the Febbers x
I was banded on 25/2/14
Still a bit sore and full of hot air :D

Hi bandito, I was based on the 28th feb, sore and full of wind also, I've managed a yogurt, a herbalife shake and a cuppa soup, it's hard to get that all in and drink recommended water, but we will get there. Is there a huge difference each day in healing, I hope so, take care.

I can safely say - yes, there is. I'll be honest, I was surprised at how bad I felt. It does get better, at almost every sleep I wake feeling slightly better. Over-done it a bit today though. The wind seems to be my sticking point at the moment and I'm also struggling to get what the dietician wanted me to get in but, I'm doing far better today than say, Friday. Hang in there and you will turn the corner xx

Girls it gets better day by day honest. I was surprised how poorly i felt after op but by the time i was 2 week post op things started to settle down. Im just over 3 weeks post now and the only niggle for me is sore scars. As from Thursday i move over to mushy which i'm pleased about, sick of pureed food now lol give yourselves a couple of weeks and all the pain will be forgotten :) Eating and drinking gets easier too x x

No dumping as yet n everything I've tried has gone down well in tiny amounts :) As we arrived at caravan we were all fed by the park n I had fish pie , some prawns n an inch square of beef burger. All went down a treat :)
Tired now. Had my first rush of lack of food today n all ok after sucking two baby ball list from my and bag .
Hope everyone's doing well :)

Have to say if u can't manage to cook for any reason the weight watchers frozen meals are very tasty n do two meals. They are on offer at tescos two for £3 so you can't moan at the price as well as being very yummy indeed. I've had a curry and cottage pie and both very tasty :) ha ha to think I used to be starving on one meal, now one meal does me twice :)

I think they're 3 for £3 at Iceland, I've just got some from jack fultons too, £1 each or some at £1.50 (salmon rissoto) but I understand a lot of people don't have an Iceland or fultons close but the info is there for anyone that does :) where I love I have a Village full of shops and things (even though I live in a city) and we have a small fultons there, it's always good to just run in when I get off the bus from my sisters or the gym to get my tea if I know I have nothing in that I fancy :) x
