Help!!!!

I told a few close friends about my Lapband. I chose not to tell my colleagues but a friend of mine that knew told her friend and you guessed it, it got back to her hubby that I work with. He took it upon himself to tell all. Those colleagues were all talking behind my back and treated me like I'd lied to them. Tbh I couldn't care less as by then I'd lost nearly 7 stone and was in the gym and I was working bloody hard to stay in shape.

This time I'm on maternity leave so don't need to share info about the revision to bypass with anyone at work. They don't know of my recent weight gain and I want the bypass to be successful before I tell all. My co workers don't mean a thing to me. I've been treated appallingly through my pregnancy and maternity leave and might just resign anyway!
One thing at a time though ;-)

Some friends and family know but I've made it clear it's not to be passed about and absolutely no comments on Facebook !

That's not good!! I really don't understand what all the fuss is about?! Stay thick skinned at work, it's none of their business, particularly if you don't really get on with them.

I must say, I was a bit surprised when I went to my best friends engagement party and her friends all knew about my bypass!! Lol total strangers walked up to me and asked me how I was getting on!!! I did mention it to her and she said that she was so excited about it she was telling everyone........I don't mind.....I know she is genuinely thrilled about it!! X

Luckily everyone I've told have been great and completely understanding! Ceecie you can see a big difference across your middle and in your face! Doin great! X x

Thanks ladies, I do feel better already. Can't wait to see what it feel like in another couple of months!!!

X

Good on you. I do t want it shouted about, but I don't lie n don't like being put in a position of doing so. My body, they can F off lol. X

Doing really good girl :)

Wooooooooo Ceecie. Get you! Doing so well hun. Big difference visible. You'll be under 20 in a couple of months, if not before. I know you'll do it. Getting back to normal foods was a big challenge for me - lots of trial and error. But suddenly you turn a corner and it's so much easier. xxx

Ceecie - even after supporting my friend every step of the way through his bypass eight years ago, and all the research etc I did before deciding on WLS myself, nothing prepared me for how challenging the first ten weeks were post op. Hang on in there - when you got through the stuck food stage it will be better. xxx

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly. That's pants. Not sure about Strepsils - your pharmacist should be able to advise on sugar content, no? I had a terrible cold a few weeks post op, and really heavy periods. And felt dreadful. Our hormones and immune system are shot to pieces by the surgery, ketosis and general lack of nutrition - it goes with the territory during the first few months. Just as you start to pick-up at about three months, the dreaded hair loss sets in, by which time I was seriously questioning if I'd been wise to have the op. BUT at three months is when the weight loss usually becomes very obvious, not least to us ... Every cloud etc xxx

They do a sugar free strepsil hun & found I didn't dump with them ;) xx
