Help!!!!

Hahaha I don't know about that one lilac. Xxx

Lol where would I be without you ladies?

Last night I realised:

1). I don't know where the emerergency number is for my provider
2) I'm not covered for 24 hr dr call out as I've moved too far away from the practice.
3) My partner is a complete nightmare when it comes to putting car keys in a responsible place--I couldn't find his car key and he's put both of my car keys in his car!!!!!!!

Luckily, in true CEECIE style, I found a stash of sugar free Strepsils at the bottom of one of my drawers.......typically pre-op I didn't like the SF version so forgot about them and obviously went and bought a sugary pack!!!!

:) TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS!! :)

Did you experience much hair loss Lilac?

It's the one thing I'm dreading!! I have really thick hair so I'm hoping it won't show too much.....

Love my hair :(

Yeah, quite a bit. Especially noticeable around the hair line and fringe. It has slowed down now tho. I also have loads of hair so it could have been worse. It's particularly distressing when you wash it, and it literally comes out in handfuls. It grows back tho. Just one of those things. Keeping up as much protein as possible is meant to help. And using a tangleteaser type brush thing when you wash it and not doing so more than once a week, and not brushing between washes. Oh, and my nails went too.

Ceecie like you I had lovely thick hair but it has thinned dramatically since I started out a year ago. Thankfully the loss has stopped now and it's starting to grow back in again but I had to get my hair cut as it had become quite bitty and straggly at the ends which was a real gulp moment for me as my hair has never been above my shoulders since my early twenties. Best thing that my hairdresser made me do as even I know I look better for it :) x

I was different. My hairless was still going until recently. 20 months out! I upped my hair skin and nails to twice a day and split my calcium and immediately the drop stopped. I will be checking with my team that they are okay with it today so will keep you ladies posted. Like you ceecie I had thick hair and mine was down to my butt originally. Fwiw it forced me to try new styles.

It's quite strange, but I've noticed my nails are much stronger post-op and I've stopped biting them without any thought......I think mentally I'm not seeking things to put in my mouth.

I am dreading the hair loss, I read somewhere that Biotin helps? Will the hair on my chin fall out too? :) lol xxx

Ha I'm laughing about the hair on ya chin haha xx I have theat now didn't really notice before the op but now oh I have some wiskers and a tash goin on. Have to use imac/nair removal cream I am no good with waxing am a coward it bloody well hurts on the top lip and have no wish to have it threaded. I had very thick hair, it did come out an awful lot, but I have always kept iot short and my hairdresser takes good care of me, I t is still thick but it is not as wiry as it used to be. Still blow dries in nice though it has always had bits of kinks in it which helps. So it will recover maybe not right back to the way it was but to a certain degree it will. 2 byrs 4months plus now just go with the flow and don't be disheartened when it happens ride the storm x

I guess it's just one of those things you have to accept with WLS.....what's a handful of hair compared to 50,60,70lbs of fat??

They think it'll grow back. Fwiw as you have curly hair like mine it shouldn't show as much.

Hahaha I wish  mines seems to be coming in faster. As for my nails  I have never had good nails, soft, thin & bendy. Now one of my thumbnail has decided that it's going to split downwards :( ..ouch

No I'm not but think I'm going to have to now. I thought I had caught it from in time from splitting further when I first saw it at the beginning of December but it now appears that I didn't :(

These are my nails with the supplements so well worth taking them hun.

I Will give the hair and nail vitamins a go for a few months but personally I think it will need a miracle to make them as good as yours Yve. I will take a before and after picture (I'm too embarrassed to post the before just now  ) xx
