Hi, I'm Kirsty, banded August 2014. My post op dairy

EXCITEDBUTNERVOUS - you should watch this guys cd on Utube it's over 4 parts maybe last 29 mins. Revelation stuff has really kicked my flaunting of the 20 20 20 rule as up till now I have always wolfed my food and binged - not now - way too scared lol x

I am watching 8 golden rules right now xxxx

For me I start salivating but it's not like normal it's like slime and then I go to be sick and loads of foamy saliva comes first...them more and then the food then more foam! God it's awful

Kar me too im having that almost every meal its not nice it sounds gross but i even have an empty waterbottle with me during meals to spit into...

I don't get foamies. I'm guessing this is good. I'm 11 mths out and I've still never been sick either. I still think my stomach can't be sick. I've urged a few times - but nothing.

So pleased for you Kirsty :)

Take care

Oh god that's awful...I don't have an answer for that! I've found mine if mostly triggered by just eating that one bite too much..which isn't many bites!! I hope you get to the bottom of your foamies x

Hi Gweni, you shouldn't have this every meal hunny :( The only time I get this, is if I don't chew dense protein enough, maybe 6 times in 9 months I have experienced it! Its not nice, now I chew my food to death, lol It sounds as if your band is too tight, that can do a lot of damage, I don't mean to worry you, but thats not normal x Check with your provider, maybe you need a tiny de fill? Good luck hunny x x x

I agree 100% with this Daisy. Though I said further up the thread that if something gives you the foamies avoid it, that doesn't work if nearly everything other than slider foods makes it happen. In that case, you almost definitely need an unfill and should get advice pretty quickly. Being that tight can cause dilation, slippage and erosion. Oh , and weight gain.

Hey Chrissy. I'm back in the land of the sensible this morning. Didn't get in till late :-( working this morning too:-(

But....listened to all your good sound advice

And taking it ALL on board starting this morning

Looking forward to another catch up soon xxx was lovely to meet you xxx

Oh Gweni - I couldn't go through life like that ;-( oh no, if your band restriction has not slackened a few days after your fill get a wee tad out!!

When I get the foamies it's usually because something is stuck and the pain in my chest brings tears to my eyes - though I'm not doing great in dense protien since I now have restriction. I'm feart to try chicken or steak

(((((Huggs))))

Its so annoying that chicken and steak are probably what we need most but they cause foamie central!!

Sm

That's me tried trout.... Very difficult to get down

Smoked mackerel very difficult to get down

Cold meat and cheese I'm ok with

Tomatoes ok

I think I may need to re think my low carb lifestyle

Could you try the smoked mackerel as pate ? It is quite fibrous. Love the stuff myself but not tried any recently.
Low carbing is harder with restriction, trial and error as with everything else.
You have made a good start though. :)

Hugs xxx

I always used to like fish cakes with a tight band. Homemade food process the cooked fish up a bit and add a small ratio of mash and seasoning etc and cook. Lots if protein and only a bit of carbs if you just use it as a binder. Plus the fish is mushed a bit more in the blender x
