Well girls. Sitting in Manchester Piccadilly waiting for our train. We have had a fantastic few days, spending time with Lindsay's kids, his cousin in Manchester, partying on canal street last night, going to the Xmas market in Manchester...it's huge and lovely at night. Our hotel was scrumptious and very quirky. Every room is different with its own wee quirky theme. Then we done the coronation street tour this morning. It was actually really interesting and a right laugh, the guide was a comic. Had my picture taken pulling a pint in the rovers lol...I will post later!

I did not even weigh in before I left and have no intention of doing so until Thursday my official weigh in. Mim ditching those daily weigh ins. I have been for a curry and had a couple of drinks on Sunday...then yesterday was just a right off food wise. But that is ok. I. Back on track today and not going to torture myself seeing the gains. It may even out by Thursday and if not defo before I go on holiday next Thursday

So I have had a lovely high protein low carb breakfast in the hotel and have now been to marks in the station and bought some prawns and fruit for mid afternoon as don't want to give in to temptation and eat the rubbish on the train

Hope you are all having a good day xx

Left Nicks Bistro, then headed to the Rovers Return to pull a pint lol

Willow. I took my husband really, but I enjoyed it too. It was very informative, it was entertaining. You get about 45 mins in the indoor set, then they let you loose on the street itself and you can stay outdoors for as long as you like. Yes I would recommend it. It gets very busy in the summer though. This time of year was great especially to include a trip to the big Xmas market

Also a science and industry museum just round the corner that I didn't know about until we were passing it on the taxi back to the station. I would have liked to see that too

We were meeting family on the Monday night too so all in all it was a lovely, if expensive trip. Lindsay has severe mobility difficulties so we had to take taxis everywhere. As it was a special birthday (he became an OPA) I booked first class rail tickets and a posh hotel

We fancy going again next year for a couple of nights but would drive and stay in a premier inn which would make it a bit more affordable

Where is the emmerdale set? Would you recommend that?

Oh Kirsty looks amazing! And you look amazing too! Such a glamour puss ;-) xxx

Hahahaha oh my god look at you as a pub landlady!! That's brilliant!!! It's put a right smile on my face!!! You actually look like you know what you are doing!
Sounds like you had a great time!!

Ha ha I know Karina! I have never pulled a pint in my life. I think the leopard print scarf makes it all authentic. Wish I could say it is a prop! But it's actually all mine lol

Got some good news today. After reading a thread about holiday insurance for WLS candidates I decided to phone my provider which is provided an extra to my bank account. As this was an elective surgery not necessitated by any underlying health condition - I'm covered :)

Oh Kirsty that's good to know! :)

I keep toying with the idea of getting one the package bank accounts but never bothered...may look into it!!

Xx

I'm with the Clydesdale on a signature account.

It's about £15 a month for

£1k free overdraft facility
Green flag which I have used Loads when I had my old car
Gadget insurance phone etc
Annual family package for holiday insurance
I'm sure there are other things too

Not worth it unless you are going to use most of the stuff. But I no longer pay for RAC. Don't pay the phone insurance which can be expensive nor holiday insurance
