Thoughts coming your way Hunni for a speedy recovery for your dad as for the brothers as the old saying goes you can choose your friends not your family that's one I know all too well try to stay positive though for your dad as he wouldn't want you saying anything to them I'm sure if that all makes sense
 
First sorry to hear about your pops, I hope he's a bit better.
Has for the brothers I have two the same, dont speak to one and the other only when I have to.
It's not worth upsetting yourself for.

Well a long day again and only good thing at the hospital was to see my pops smile. Rather frustrated that he can't have a shower ect or use the bathroom as he's still hooked up to a machine. The tests show that his top two valves ar faulty and they have now stopped his metaphormin I think it's called in case he needs surgery. He already has a pig valve in and they say that's doing most of the work. He's rather upset that I traveled again but was soon gassing away with my two youngest. I'm praying that he won't need the op because he's going to find this week hard enough with it being the first anniversary of the mother's death on New Year's Day. Top this off with having to threaten taking custody of my grandchildren because she demand I come straight back and collect the youngest so that she could go out yes it's been a stressful day.
I'm so grateful to you all for helping me get through this I really am. So thank you thank you thank you all of you it really means such a lot to me. Huge hugs xxx xxx xxx
 
Sweetness there is nothing much i say to take away any of your pain :( its a tough testing time for you and when things like this happen at Christmas time it always feels a million times worse. Your are an amazingly strong woman and i know you will get thru this, jes you've been such alot this year..... 2015 is SO going to be your year :)

Love n hugs to Pops and you of course sweetness :) get thru best you can..... hold your power woman and dont let it knock you of balance. I know holding your tongue is not really an option..... i find speaking out now is my best policy, it save the heading off to the cupboards to comfort myself (trust me i've done it just this evening) pffft do what feels right for you hunni.... sometimes these things need nipping in the bud...... of course its already a tough time for you with the 1st anniversary coming up.....and your daughter in law OMG needs to sort herself out blimey...since when did Her going out become top priority??? good for you for standing your ground mrs :)

Cupid your doing a great job keeping it together, your a strong woman just keep doing what your doing and you will get through this tough time. Your operation not only gave you a new inside but it's given you a new outer strength and its shining through. Keep smiling and keep your chin up. :)
 
Thanks everyone or your kind words. Don't know how I'm getting through this without breaking down and crying but I am and I will. As for the mother of my grandchildren she began ringing me from 10am Christmas Day to go and get my grandson and as I would be passing after picking him up drop my granddaughter off at her dads ex sister in law because they can't get her they have had a drink. What kind of a mother wants rid of her kids on Christmas Day....sick. She's been warned for the last time today any more and she will lose them. Xx
 
Your a strong lady who can and will get through this even though at times it might not feel like it as for mother's of grandchildren I won't even go there we have issues with our one hope you have a better day today sending hugs

Really pleased today as my brother rang to say pop's is allowed out today. I spoke to him tonight to ask how he was and he says really tired but not in pain. He had to go back every day for a week to be monitored but he's ok with that. Going to see him again tomorrow so I can set up his tv ect as he cant do his own. Thank you so much everyone for helping me get through this I appreciate it so much xxx
