Hi Caren so happy for you, woo hoo.

I could not drive until I went back to the hospital and had my first check up after I had my mask for a few weeks, but the dvla did tell me that once I start the treatment should be ok to drive and the hospital will confirm this at your first check up, I was only off the road for 3-4 weeks.

The other thing is to make sure your sleep apneoa consultant puts in your letter that you have Severeobstructive sleep apneoa as mine left this one word out and the pct still turned me down even though I was already on my cpap machine, this is why I had the face to face meeting with them, but could of saved me more stress if this word was in the letter in the first place.

Well once again well done, onwards and upwards.

Don't be afraid when you get the mask to play around with it, adjust for comfort and if its not comfortable hassle them until you get one that is! Also bear in mind that you will get used to it pretty quick; the first week is the hardest.

Thank you honey well when i phoned the pct before, they said that he can apply for funding before all appts or it can be done after, so i'll wait and see. Actually come to think of it, the woman at the surgery who deals with it said he's not reffered me yet, he's waiting for the s/a results so i guess he will apply now woohoo, gonna phone him on monday xxx
