Not sure wot that is caren but by the looks of things it means good news ?
well its an awful condition Jed, you stop breathing when you sleep :( but its also a co-morbidity so will help me get funding lol xxx

Ah Carem that's good news! I'm dead happy for you love. He a glass of vino to celebrate and il have one too lol

Brilliant news Caren!!! It will push you closer to surgery, and once you lose weight, the sleep apnoea should go and you can do away with the CPAP!! :D

I've already started reducing the air pressure on my CPAP, so hopefully by the end of the year I will have given my machine back to Papworth Hospital and will be cured!!

Well some positive news for you at last hunni :)
To start with I hated "plugging myself in" each night , but by doing so I sleep better & wake each morning .
My hospital said it was up to me if I informed dvla & as I need to drive to get to work I chose not to .
I felt better after the first night wearing my mask
xx

Oh Cheryl, hon, hate to say this but I have just been filling my hubby's new license application on line & Sleep Apnoea Syndrome is a condition they DO need to know about. Not telling them carries a £1000 fine, so when the hospital gave you that advise, they were leaving you wide open to any steps the DVLA may take. Sorry babe :cry: xxx

Hmm don't know what to do then , I can't not have my licence , I never here a problem driving & I have been wearing cpap for 2 months now . I shall think on it over the weekend xx

Hi Caren,

So glad you got the test result you wanted. I did notice earlier today a couple of posts I saw your new signature where it says at the bottom "6 Jan 2012 its official, im a hosehead" ... but I did not see this thread at the time.

At work I was able to log on to WLS and reply to a few messages up until lunch time, but after lunch it seems our pesky IT people have blocked my access to yet ANOTHER fun (and *useful*) "quiet moments at work" browsing thing !!!!

Anyway have caught up now, late at home. ;-)

Best wishes with your journey -- funding and getting your GP to get his skates on !!!
