I used movicol for my first BM because it was compacted I took 3 sachets at once and went around 2 hours later with much relief. It tastes vile but well worth it xx

what have they closed the ports with hun? mine are stapled and the big one has bled a little in the first few days

They glued mine together! So when I went to the toilet and got up there was bleed soaked in my nightie! And I went a second time and another port started to bleed!

so, had my staples out, didnt hurt a bit!! Very proud of myself for not being a wuss!! lol where the holes of the staples were its a bit red, but the nurse said it was because they were ready to come out. no oozing, no bleeding, nothing, hoping that they stay that way!!!

i dont know hun, what kind of fastening have you got?? i had staples, and the only thing underneath my dressing was the staples. maybe someone else can help? xx

That's great news. Had a really good day today. I'm almost able to do nearly everything apart from bend down and pick stuff up. Bored of purée at the moment. Can't wait to receive follow up appointments with dietician and surgeon.

It won't last long. Get as much sleep as you can cause your body heals better while asleep.

Gonna take pain capsule around 11pm then snuggle down, surgeon visit at 9am xx

black coloured stools often indicate some blood from the GI tract, probebly caused during the op when they were re plumbing you. a small amount can cause the colour. if it worrys you speak to staff for reassurance

Took.pain meds at 9pm ... thought they'd help headache as well. Spent long time speaking with provider & my revision surgery took 4hrs so I'm not surprised I feel like this! Still soup was lovely but can't manage yogurt yet xx

Larabelle what are u pureeing atm? Ive only felt like eating today n yday and had pureed avocado which was yum and some cauliflower cheese which was v tasty. Need to start getting the protein in me now im wanting to eat...do u puree meat into ur foods?
