JennaMeri's Sleeve Journey

if you fancy it have it is my theory just not everyday but thats just me im not gonna judge either

Okay, awkward question... Last TOM visit was April 2nd, then a couple weeks ago I had that weird fluke weigh-in scenario happen, now this week I've been nauseous, lightheaded when I stand up, weird feeling in the uterus region, browny colour discharge (but different than the missed visit type discharge... if TMI, sorry!), SERIOUSLY tender boobs and craving random things. I took two tests this morning and both came up positive (then I looked at the expiry dates and they're MONTHS out of date) so I'm now freaking out. Do I test again this afternoon only to then need to test again in the morning 'cause they all say to use first thing urine? And what the hell happens if I AM actually the 'P' word?! I'm only FOUR MONTHS post op, I'm not even supposed to think about this until next January. Sorry if I sound panicky, but all the things that could go wrong with this are coming to the surface and I don't even know if it's true yet. Just needed to vent... OMG!

I would test again tomorrow morning but they all sound like pregnancy symptoms or if your worried you could ask gp for blood test to confirm with a yay or nay but def sounds like you are to me

Are there such things as 'false' pregnancy symptoms? Like my body is just being awkward? I just had my bloods done to check my levels of things... though they weren't testing whether or not I was pregnant, so that wouldn't have come back with them. Ugh! Can't phone them until 8 anyways, so I might as well not think about it for a while... if I can. Eeek.

You can have what they call a phantom pregnancy where the body thinks its pregnant but that is usually what happens when people are trying to get pregnant they think they are so much that they get all the symptoms with no baby

Yeah, definitely wasn't trying... weren't stopping it to be fair, but definitely weren't actively trying for it to happen.

So went to my GP... they don't do blood tests for pregnancy. (??) If you've done two (or more) at home tests and they've been positive then they just straight away book you in to the midwife. Sooo... I went to the chemist and bought a couple more tests and I'll test tomorrow and Sunday. Maybe it's just because the tests were out-of-date, so they were both false positives. I really don't want to have to phone my team and tell them that against their advice I'm pregnant 4 months out. :( I'll be happy to be pregnant ('cause the whole point of this was to have a baby), but I'll be so concerned about whether I'm giving it enough and what the implications of that might be that I won't enjoy it at all. :( Fingers crossed... just not sure what for yet. :/ Hope everyone else is well!

Odd our surgery does bloods will keep everything crossed you get the results you want and if you are im sure the team and yhe midwifes would be able to keep a close check with it being so soon post op

Thanks... we'll see what the weekend brings and then deal with it from there. We'll get through it, just need to confirm that we are infact going through it in the first place. ;) Gonna be a LONG weekend. lol

I bet it is keep us posted will be thinking about you x

Okay, so I wanted to share these as I don't see the difference when I look at myself... from the front I can't tell a difference between these at all... but from the side, well I'd have to be a real idiot not to notice the difference. ;) All out and here we go:

Hey Jenna from what I've always been lead to believe you can't get a false positive but you can get a false negative. When I took my pregnancy tests I didn't wait til the morning I just done them and low n behold I was pregnant. Good luck and your pics are great what a difference xx

Yeah, I wasn't really expecting that to be a thing... though they were expired by about 6 months, so it's possible they just weren't accurate at all anymore. lol Just kind of freaking out this morning as this was not the time hubby and I were wanting this to happen. But, everything happens for a reason, so if that's the case, then we'll deal with it. After all, this is the reason we decided to go the WLS route in the first place. I bought two new clear blue digital tests today, so I'll test tomorrow morning and Sunday just to be sure. If I am and all the calculators are correct, then I would be about 5 weeks pregnant... Eeek!

Your right everything happens for a reason. What will be will be. I dunno how you can wait til the morning I'm far too impatient haha I'd have used both of them the moment I got home. You'll have to keep us all updated tomorrow/Sunday. Exciting times ahead xx

It's REALLY difficult not to go use one now... but I've always been told that first thing in the morning is the best to use, plus if I AM then I can't do anything about it until Wednesday (as far as midwife appointments go) so spreading it out over the weekend just gives me more confidence that I know for certain. :) If I'm not, well, then I'm not. I haven't had any of the symptoms today that I had previously. Not nauseous or anything. A TINY bit of cramping this morning, but otherwise nothing. So we'll see what tomorrow brings. :)

Haha, oh Jenna it must have been so hard when we were talking earlier...I now get why you said to wait for the surprise of the post...So glad you told me though! Although you did blurt it out and I was like whaaaaaaaaaat? I think it'll be an incredible mystery if you're not and i'm so pleased for you.

Your pics are fab! Huge difference!! x

So couldn't sleep anymore (seriously had to pee and I was anxious) sooo, I tested again this morning:

Don't really see a point in testing again tomorrow... that's three tests now that have said positive, so guess this means we're pregnant! Might have to add a few stops when we go shopping this morning, just to see price-wise how much things are going to cost us. Means Bubble will be born mid-January, so Winter baby. :) Hope everyone else is well.

Congrats thrilled for you both :)
