Day 7 of pre - op diet........ and I'm surviving.
This time a week tomorrow and the op will be over and my new life will have begun.
Joanne - eeks. We may be last but least we get to read up from the others . Day four of preop diet. Lost four pounds. Happy. Sticking rigid to it. Only just got out the shower. Might have a shake or count the cals and have some bacon and scrambled egg. It's Sunday. Been watching a cooking program. What???? Lol. Worried about all the things I won't be able to eat. Worried about my partner not liking me losing weight. Worried about making it to the 27th on this diet. Worried about injections. Worried about what people will say. So many things whiz zing about in my head. On the other hand I'm so very excited were on out way to feeling better about ourselves, feeling comfortable in clothes, fitting into a plane seat (mentioned earlier - oh gosh yes), feet not aching so much, knees too. And so much more. And that's why our heads are all over the place. We are going to end up being someone were not used to and as this weight loss can happen so quick out brains have no chance of keeping up. Ok. Breakfast now all the best everyone xxx we're so blessed to have this place to write down how we feel and share the same journey with others. So important. And thank you xx
Thanks Joanne. Had a moment earlier where I could have sabotaged all my hard work. My preop is three weeks on a 800 cal diet. Doing mostly shakes and an evening meal. I slept in late to pass the time to nearer lunchtime was working out how long to go. Not next thurs not the thurs after but the thurs after that aaargh. Discussing with my chap about getting me to hosp and where he waits after that. Should he take the hour trip back home then to come back the next day? Reckon he will stay in a nearby hotel. All getting real now :/ xx

Joanne you'll have a bit or sorting out to do. Us woman have to organise all these things too which can get stressful plus we've got this op looming. Were all here for each other. This place does help so much. But we will sort it cos were superwomen hehe. The day of surgery for each of us is gonna be buzzing on here or at least the night before with our last minute jitters. After the op though Joanne if you're the only driver don't be tempted or forced to drive too soon. We must take it easy so we recover quicker . This time next year ............ I'm ready!!! X
On the pre op diet. Are we allowed sweeteners? bit late now I guess I'm half way through
hey im done!!!!
Had my bypass from 2008 banded on thurs. only 2nd my surgeon has done and first on nhs so know im a bit of guinnea pig but a very willing one. surgery much easier than bypass and been glued no stitches or clips. don't feel too bad at all. Every day I wake up with renewed enthusiasm. post op lost a stone so on track. back to liquid diet but know I can do it cos done it before. Here I go......
