My diary warts and all

I rang THG today and sold them about the esophogeal spasms she said to go back to liquids for the weekend and then try very runny mush Monday onwards and see how I go gggrrrr I know it's for the best but I'm hungry today I've gmhad 2 Milky decaf coffees a yogurt and I've just had a tin of tomato soup! That's filled a whole for now off the flicks tonight to see skyfall can't wait but no goodies for me! Well I may have a little icecream be rude not too ;-) xxx

Have a good night, glad to hear things improving! We're going to see it next Saturday as don't want to be sitting shifting about with my clips digging me! Enjoy hon!!! Xxx

So fluids all day yesterday a couple of Chocs in pictures which I let melt in my mouth and I woke up on agony again!! I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself at the min thinking why did I bother should I have gone for a sleeve etc bit no matter what I'd have done I'd have still had problems I'm just an unlucky person off to feel sorry for myself xxx

Oh no! Sorry to hear you have this problem again, wonder what is going on? I'd call your nurse again, they may have some other option for you. Wonder if you need a small amount taken out, just to ease the pressure? Hope all better soon hon, sending you hugs! Xxx

Yeah she said give it till Monday but to be honest I'm feeling so fed up and disheartened with it it could only happen to me I asked what would happen she said a complete defill but then what happens? Will I never be able to have fluid put in again? Is it a waste of £5000? She said on soft foods 4-5 mouthfuls but I'd had half a jacket spud am I going to be forever hungry even though I'm £5000 in debt stupid scales won't move either I know lots of people have stalls and I shouldn't worry about it but I'm feeling so so down at the min sorry for moaning I know there are lots of people out there in much worse places than I am I'm just wanting normality and no pain I know I'm covered for surgical stuff for 6 months of its not settled in that time what do I do?? Right I'm off cos I've done nothin but moan xxx

You have the right to moan honey! I have nothing in my band at all so I'm at a stage well behind you, but to be honest I feel great, yes i'm hungry but eating similar to pre-op diet and its working ok. i heard others have had a defill only til their stomach heals, you may not even get all out they may take only 1 ml out, you'll still have loads of restriction. A few weeks later when all healed they can assess it and you can decide if you want to add more. My provider only puts 2ml in at first fill, so even until January I'll be way behind where you are even now!!! It may be worth thinking about, I'm obviously not in the know, but sounds to me like they have filled it too much too quickly, everyone is different and copes differently hon, and none of this is your fault.
Thinking of you sweetie, let me know what you decide, don't put up with this pain any longer! Xxx

When I had my band fitted I never had any thing in it and had to wait six weeks before I had anything put in and yes some foods don't go through one day will work and another it won't as for weight loss I always found stuck for a few days then a loss then a stick again but when something gets stuck just fluids for a couple off days you will get to love the band I did and miss it so much
Hope your pain goes and if you feel down talk on this site we all understand each other and know its not a quick easy fix
Take care thinking off you and when I win my lottery on Tuesday will pay your debt off
Mark

Mine is same as Mark's was.

Get straight on to them Monday and all should be ok, if you need a defill, it will heal and a month later it can be refilled, then monthly until you are happy. Try not to get stressed hon as this wont help with the pain. I know how you feel, mine was £7k in total, had to get a loan too, but don't worry things have a way of sorting themselves out, and you aren't to blame xxx

Hey, if I was going through what you are going through I'd be moaning a heckova lot louder and longer! Believe me. And I'd be angry-going-on-furious. You are 100% entitled to complain because you have very good reason to.

Don't just chalk your difficulties up to personal bad luck; lots of people develop complications of one sort or another after all types of WLS - a peek around the threads on this very site will perfectly illustrate this truth. You are entitled to help because you really need it. It's that simple! Your health is the number one priority here, and you must never let yourself worry that you are a nuisance or a whiner blah blah. You're just a young Mum who's had a band fitted and is experiencing worrying (and painful) post-op difficulties. It's up to your provider, Team, whatever to correct this problem. So moan away, and moan even more loudly and at more length, until the problems have been resolved.

I hope and pray that day will come very soon x
