My Gastric Bypass Journey -Onwards and Upwards-Well this is a start

Mandy, I don't want this to sound cliché but THANK YOU for meeting up with me yesterday afternoon and allowing me to grill you mercilessly about all the nitty gritty, gory, gruesome details.

I'm glad that Jordan enjoyed himself and that Paul liked his balls!!

I feel this is the start of a new friendship...

Hi Mandy,
You are doing brilliantly on your weight loss. I had my op around the same time as you, May 17th, and have lost roughly the same amount of weight - 74lbs. I am suffering from bad hair loss at the moment, although I am lucky that I have very thick curly hair so it isn't as noticabe, but when you are washing your hair in the shower, its quite disturbing the amount that comes out in your hands!
Things are going brilliantly for me, had no problems whatsover. I think I am eating more than I was expecting to eat, and when I am full, I feel the fullness in my tummy, rather than pain behind my breastbone! I must be doing something right though to have lost 5 stones 4lbs though!
Keep up the good work & keep me informed on your progress.

Hi Mandy, that ticker seems to have moved again!! Well done hun!! Btw, I am losing hair now too and I havn't lost anywhere near as much as you - was joking to a friend today who knows about the op that it is just as well I went short xx

Have to say my hair loss is driving me insane...... also not sure if anyone else has this problem,,,, is rather embarrasing but I constantly seem to have bad breath... its like when i was on lighterlife!!!!!

Does anyone else have this.....

For me, no one has commented on dog breath, but sometimes I get that funny taste in the back of your mouth like you do when you are in ketosis on LL or CD....and then I just get paranoid that I stink! I tend to carry chewing gum or sugar free mints with me for emergency situations!!
As for the hair loss, well I have had that before when I have lost weight fast on various diets in the past (not that we use the D word anymore!) and it is only temporary - you will find it lasts a few weeks and then your hair will go back to something more normal for you. xx

I wonder wether I am drinking enough....... I get that awful taste in my mouth too.... just like LL...... no-one has ever commented, maybe its just me being paranoid!!!lol

As for hairloss.... well I never had it on LL it seems to have come with a vengenace though......

Lets hope it stops soon

Glad you worked it out!!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't have a clue!!¬!!!! how too.... Thank you!!!!!!!!!! sounds a lot when i see it like that!

Im ok..... Looking forward to going to blackpool... concentrating on your tasks and my wonderful family.....

Need to look at thing differently........ glad I have all my friends on here...........

I didn't notice any stinky breath when I saw you the other day.

As you know I had terrible hair loss on Lighterlife, took my hair a year to recover fully. I hope to god I don't get it when I have my op.

And no you're not drinking enough :party0016:

Thanks guys.........

Been drinking more... which is helping!!!

As for the hair thing... I am really getting down about this... have come to conclusion I used my hair as the only thing I could control!!! and with it going so thin! I can't do anything with it at all...

So I borrowed a wig! i really liked it... but hubby just makes jokes about it..... and isnt keen on it...... and my manager is unsure, she is going to see it today!!!!

I am not wearing it at the moment..... but will think about it....

Thanks for all your support
