mmm kind of. I still haven't tried rice yet! I really think I won't manage it so I haven't bothered.

I had my band fitted about the same time as you, 28 Sept.
I had my second fill on Monday and can't eat hardly anything.
Fluids are OK, but food - a definite no no. Tried toast, a wrap with salad, a jacket potato and they all got totally stuck and I have been sick a lot.
So far I have 5.5 in a 10ml band.
I spoke to THG yesterday and they suggested going back to fluids and mushies.
I know I want restriction and also my main goal is to lose weight but I am starving!!
I am hoping that things will improve as I am loving the fact I have the restriction but did not think it would be so drastic

Sorry should say Friday not Monday!!
They say 24 hours liquid and 24 hours mushies.
So, started eating solid food yesterday, how are you feeling now Banderbird?

Hi can I ask what you mean by the "red zone" please.Still plodding on. Definitely eating less now, and still struggling with some foods.
I'm not in the red zone because liquids and some soft foods go down easily. Also, I've noticed if I don't eat enough protein, I do get hungry more quickly.
Last night my brother cooked an absolutely gorgeous tartiflette served with green salad .. and I just couldn't eat it.
Salad was fine, but all those heavy potatoes with bacon .. nope. I ate the tiniest bits and waited and waited but it just wasn't going down
Anyway, he did a home-made apple crumble with vanilla custard for pud, and I ate it all!! It slid down (yep, slider) wonderfully.
I have to be careful not to go for the slider foods though, I just hate taking ages when I'm eating in front of other people!
Hunger is still much less which is good, and it doesn't take me much to feel full.
Chicken/heavy food/bread seem to be the things I struggle with the most.
