My Journey....

Don't worry hun, it will happen.

Just look how well your daughters have done, and you will do the same. It takes time that's all :) xx

Thank you Sarah..Yes all better
The worrying thing is it came out of the blue...would of been awful if in a restaurant etc :/

That was how I felt with my little episode last weekend. I don't know if the band will always be this temperamental or if it's just an initial learning curve! I had lunch in a cafe this afternoon - baked potato and beans. I had a teeny bit of the skin but struggled a smidge, so after that I played it safe and just ate the soft bit.
Tonight I'm on a mates Christmas do (with a free bar - hurrah!) and had no issue eating anything - my only issue was stopping lol!

You know it's a good night - we're in a taxi on our way to a club since the other bar closed stupidly early...

I'm a fruit and cheese for breakfast person too. My bypassed system gets quite grumpy with anything else first thing in the morning

Home made protein bars...recipe???

cheese for breakfast what do you do with it...just a chunk of cheese?? :D

Val on my diary upwards last one or toe pages there's a recipe for energy bars, I've made them and they are lovely and do help with hunger etc because of what's in them :)

Other things for breakfast
- breakfast frittata, maybe with bacon, ham, mushrooms
- eggs
- ryvita with quark
- yoghurt topped with cereal or Special K of granola
- even have cooked breakfast with grilled bacon, tomatoes, egg, mushrooms etc
- muesli

Thank you TK...Mmmmmmm love the suggestions my friend..
I will try the recipe and let you know how I get on xxxx

Val good dinner recipe if you like pizza is the cauliflower crust pizza I made it today it's beautiful x

Sounds yummy I will try it..Thank you Kirstie

PS
I have posted the rules in the swop shop can you look it over and see what you think ??

I have had a bit of a break through today
I have been to weight loss clinic at my GPs and had a good chat with nurse, she thinks I am sabotaging myself thinking I cannot loose weight so my body is saying 'Oh Ok well maybe we cant loose weight'..they think Im too stressed at loosing the weight each week an should weigh in fortnightly

Im guessing I will give anything a go ..so I have to get my mind right

Also I am upping my walking last 2 days have been on an hours walk in the local forest loved it..today I saw a Tawny Owl and a heron..plus I always take bird seed to feed the wild life you should have seen all the different swarms of beautiful birds they came to feed..
I will take camera tomorrow and try to take some pics

Anyway..they weighed me at Doctors and according to their scales I was 20.12...but they were an old needle set of scales so its not set in stone
Nurse says it doesn't matter what scales you use as long as the weight go's down,
But I like to know accurately how much I have lost...nice thought though in the 20.s... fingers crossed hey :):33:

Hey Val - good to hear about your breakthrough. I'm a stress head and when I was in the States I had access to medicines if needed and it was easier to exercise there with normal weather conditions. So when I moved my exercise decreased, stress increased, and weight ballooned. I find that essential oils help like lavender... A little on your temples or burn them around the house. Less TV and more reading, longer walks with the dogs, a few extra min in the shower... All little things but my stress is going down as is my weight. Good work on being so introspective and keep up the positivity!

Hi Nessie
Thank you so much for your thoughtful response that was very kind of you

Okie dokie I will try the lavender oil and the relaxing and see if I can chill out a little..I will update you on my progress

I am a great believer in stress having an effect on weight loss Val. When I had the balloon in I stalled every third week and it was always as I was reaching a personal target. However it was the biggest target of all that had me stressed out the more. The big 50BMI that I had to get to in order to get my bypass. Once I got my funding for stage two "the bypass" I relaxed quite a bit and the weight started to fall more stabily. I have only had a couple of stalls in the four months as a bypasser and if I do stall I don't super stress about it like I did before. I know I'm doing the correct things and I know it will shift eventually I just have to be patient.

stress definately affects everything hun! You have to think about the way you feel and think about the losse-ness of your clothes too rather than the numbers and i guarentee you will see a difference! xx

Thank you Kirstie and Femfrankie for your constant support and advise xxxxxx
