November 2014 Surgeries

Awww hope you enjoy your non-food Christmas Sharona - it is a bit bizarre isn't it? Christmas has become so much about food and drink I do feel like I'm missing a bit this year! Luckily I am able to manage a bit of Christmas dinner and I've had a few sips of Buck's Fizz :) All in a good cause though eh? Next year things will be a bit more normal but with more restraint :) in the meantime I'm focussing on the weight loss as a sweetener. Have a great day and here's to a healthy and skinny 2015 x
I will Suzie wish i could have some alcohol. Had a micro Christmas dinner hope I didn't stretch me pouch as feel quite full now! You too have a great christmas night and best wishes for 2015 x

Hi all

Vix sorry to hear you have been so poorly. I hope you feel better soon.

I enjoyed being with my family yesterday even though it was so emotional:cry:. My first foray into puree was a disaster. It all came back up and then I felt so poorly I ended going to sleep for 3 hours:eek:. My family were lovely. I think it was stress. I have returned to liquids today and there is a lot of restriction. Only managing half cups of hot drinks. I have managed a protein shake which is good.

I need to get more sleep.

Hope everyone is enjoying the rest of the festivities.

Best wishes

TBx

hi girls

sorry some of you have had a tough time, I had a great xmas, so lovely not to be controlled by food, i ate a little bit of cake, had a chocolate, dinner was turkey sausage and one roast parsnip followed by one tablespoon of triffle.

As you guys were talking about being sick, I haven't been sick once is that normal!!! I am worried it hasn't been done properly :)|

Hi All,

I have been feeling much much better today apart from a bad stomach this morning...I think I've had a touch of a stomach bug as well which is why I ended up in hospital after throwing up blood and have had a poorly tummy but today has been much better and I feel much more like myself...and to top it all (as today is my normal weigh in day) I have not only met but smashed my christmas target!!

Hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas and here's to a healthier and slimmer 2015 :) xxx

Well it's weigh in day today and another 2lb off - that's got to be the first Christmas I've lost weight EVER!!!!
It also brings my bmi to overweight and I'm officially no longer obese yay :)

I think start of week 5 (starting to reintroduce 'normal' food) on Christmas Eve was a bad sign. I've been sick every day since. So I'm taking my self back to basics and trying to ease back in gently. I thought I was eating small, chewing well, but my body disagreed. My weight loss has also been minimal too so I need to get this right.

Oh no!!! Not good hun. What sort of stuff have tried? How did you get on with purée? It still amazes me how the different providers differ...I'm just reaching end of week 5 and still on purée - got it for another week too. Loving my weetabix ??
Hope you find something you can tolerate xxx

hi Guys

got up this morning and have lost 1.5lbs since xmas despite eating xmas cake, biscuits, chocolate and going for a curry last night. admittedly I have been quite active but am so motivated by losing weight over the christmas period rather than being half a stone fatter. Went to the gym for the first time yesterday since the operation and was delighted by my fitness which seems to have held despite the enforced six weeks break. Tomorrow i start with a personal trainer 5.5lbs to go for my next target aiming for that before the end of jan. Final piece of good news brought more size 18 jeans in the sales, when they arrived took them out of the packet and they went straight on didn't even have to breathe in :)

happy new year everyone

Hello all

How are you all doing?

I have been struggling since I was sick on Christmas Day. I ended up seeing the emergency doctor tonight having spent all afternoon trying to get in touch with my provider. It seems no one from the bariatric team was on duty and I asked if someone could be contacted but they said that would not be possible. I have had terrible acid reflux - it got to the point where even swallowing my own saliva felt like might chest was on fire.

The emergency doctor prescribed fastabs and told me to double the dose and speak to someone from my team as matter of urgency, so that is what I will be doing when I get up. I have not had much in terms of food since last week because it has hurt so much to get anything down. I am so exhausted I have not been able to do much. Mr TB and I are still surrounded by boxes since the move. I can't settle in as there are so many things wrong with the work done by the contractors we may have to move out again for them to put it right. I know I have a battle on my hands over this.

I am hoping I can see someone from my provider later so they can get to the bottom of the issues and the pain - it is unbearable.

I wish everyone a peaceful and happy 2015.

TBx
