post op band help please

Feeling really hungry? Had some v8 for breakfast which went down much easier than slim fast but now my tummy is rumbling like mad.
 
you will start feeling hungrier as the swelling inside will be going down, don't worry, it's normal x
 
No mints either it makes our tummys produce acid x
 
I've eaten so much today! Had some v8 then 2 mini yogurts then a full sized yoghurt. Just had a bowl of soup & a yoghurt then was still hungry so had a custard pot. I know it's not a huge amount but it's a big jump since yesterday?
 
Wow that makes my 2 wheetabix and half a slim fast look a bit naff. I seem to feel more hungry in the evenings, like now! Lol
 
Today has been much better. Thanks to my first good nights sleep since I booked the op. Couldn't have eaten a thing till about 4pm then felt really hungry. I just happened to be in the supermarket & a return to pre op shopping habbits ensued! What an idiot. The freezer is so full I couldn't fit a slice of wafer thin ham in. Needless to say I came away without the batteries I went for. Anyhow, on return home sense took hold so I first hydrated with a pint of water then I had 140gram pot of toffee flavoured custard. I ate it to fast because I ended up feeling bloated with shoulder pain. What an idiot I am. Hope you're doing well?
 
It's a bumpy road isn't it? I don't think I'm drinking enough, seem to be perm thirsty, am also getting hungry now though, which is a shame!! Lol
I can pretty much eat anything, just really slowly, head hunger is a pain though, major cravings for all the wrong things! So more fluid it is!! Xx
 
I know heat you mean about y'at head hunger! As we all know thirst can be confused with hunger but more importantly good hydration is so important for good healing. How much of anything can you eat? What I keep comparing it to is what I could/would eat pre band & is a huge difference. I'm not gonna worry too much because at the moment we are just post op. It's all going to be different then we get our fills. I just want to be healed fully first no bruising no pain.
 
I can eat quite a lot if its sloppy, but tried real food tonight, chicken, potatoes and tinned spaghetti, which filled me up, and just had a bowl of rice crispies! (Variety pack size)
 
2 weetabix for breakfast and half a slimfast for lunch. Seriously regretting the rice crispies though! That was purely head hunger that I gave into!!
 
That massive shop for stuff you can't eat has surely taught you a lesson! That's how we learn - from experience. Glad to hear you are getting the hang of your new routine x
