Slimpip's Sleeve Jan'14

When I weighed myself Monday and saw it was only 4lb I was abit disappointed but had to remind myself, 4lb in one week is a lot to anyone doing it without having the op! But I just though I've be like half a stone a week... But I'm fine with it now... Lol dreading the stalling! Xx

Kirsty

I just couldn't believe it was week 3 post op but I have to keep reminding myself that I have never ever lost weight while on my period before, my body just halts it totally (it doesn't even save it up for a big loss the next week). That's just the way it goes I guess, it's a very small issue in the big picture. X

That's it, it's just a tiny glitch in the big picture.. Atleast if it is because of TOM then you can be prepared for it! Xx

Kirsty

pip sounds like your doing great hmmmm nutella in porridge sound heavenly i would have my fingers sneeky in the jar so wont be tempted but sounds lush. wd on the loss a lb is fab thats half a bag of sugar :) so although doesn't sound alot it blooming well is !!!
gl with the scale avoidance lol trying to do once a week here but its so tempting just to check spose the novelty will wear off sometime :)

glad your doing well that's fab , I feeling bit fed up had my op last Thursday so 8 days out was doing well then last 2 days finding it a struggle due to pain in my tummy and back right side awfull discomfort really struggling to get fluids down hope it gets better x

Aww Wenny I hope so too, have you been doing any light exercise at all? After one week I forced myself to go out on a walk every day to force my muscles into action, but this may also help shift any gas pains or muscle pains you might be having? X

Jenna it's so hard not weighing already!! Haha, I'll stay strong! The dietician from Telford rang me today to ask me some questions about how it's going...she asked me what my typical days intake looked like so I said:

Breakfast - Porridge with milk powder and a spoon of nutella mixed in.
Lunch - Mozzarella or tuna in a sweet potato jacket.
Snack - Half a hot cross bun (new discovery that I can eat and soooo thrilled, YUM)
Tea - Beef stew, Salmon chowder or Lamb hotpot etc
+ 3 pints of nas squash and 1-2 cups of coffee per day

She was really happy with that. I told her I hadn't managed the fortimels, as they made me feel sick and she wasn't concerned. As long as I was taking my vitamins etc then she was pleased. I'm happy she's happy and sounds like I'm doing ok! Good times xxx

I know!! I fought with myself the other day... even got the scale out and set it up!! Eeeek! I did however put it back WITHOUT stepping on it. :)

Yay for you on doing well with the food intake! I'm still trying to figure it out. I may steal your ideas and see how they work for me. :p Keep it up and we'll both be beaming after out check-up appointments! I'm pretty sure TOM is to blame for my stall as well... only as per previous norms, I've gained because of it. :( Onward and upward from now on! :D

Yes Jenna, positivity is the way forward!! I love it. I've put my jeans on this morning and you know how usually when they are straight out of the wash they are tight while the denim 'gives' a little? Well no siree, mine slipped on with ease this morning, with a little room to spare!!! I love my sleeve!!!!!!!! Happy Saturday people, lots of love xx

Woohoo! That's fab! I've just put my new dressing gown on, I got it exactly 2 weeks ago, and it only just meet in the middle of my tummy, now it over laps about 3/4inches!! Woop woop!! Xx

Kirsty

Excellent Kirsty! I must admit I had the same thing with my towel this morning. It's a beach towel so it's pretty big and hadn't quite got to not meeting in the middle but was getting pretty damn close, and now....overlap-a-plenty! Yey x

That's great!! The little things eh?? Xx

Kirsty

Definitely. The little things are what will see us through. Lots of firsts to come for us girlies and I don't want to miss a single one xx

Yay for your NSV!! I haven't had too many of those yet as the weight I am loosing seems to be coming from my arms and legs... my 'bat wings' are horrible now and my thighs are baggy. Belly, face and hips are all the same. :( but still trying to remain strong.

Have you started doing any exercising yet hun? I have only been walking as I still feel my stomach muscles pulling when I walk up flights of stairs, which tells me they are not quite healed yet and I certainly don't want to damage them. What sort of things do you think you'll do to target you're problem areas? I need to give this some serious thought.

I had a really crappy evening yesterday and it was utterly self inflicted. I was determined to try something sweet again after the egg custard fiasco so the other half and I wet out for a drink and some pudding. My local is a hungry horse (pub chain) and they do a teeny dessert of pineapple fritters with a small scoop of icecream and a drizzle of caramel sauce. Yes I agree, in hindsight this was problem a terrible idea and hugely ambitious! Well, withing 10 minutes I started to feel a bit light headed and just out of sorts really. I made the other half down his pint and we went home asap. Another 20 minutes on from there and mid-lie down on the bed and I started to get really painful cramps in my lower tummy. Que a rush to the loo and well...i'm sure you can imagine the rest.

Nobody to blame but myself, but am quite pleased I did it really as it has well and truly cemented that for now at least, I can't handle sugar. C'est la vie. X

I haven't started officially exercising yet... just when we go for walks with the dog, but even those are fairly easy walks. My abs don't pull anymore, so it would probably be alright for me to go to the gym again, just need to find the time now! I really enjoy weight lifting, though I'm definitely going to have to start with only 5-10lb weights for a while. My worst spots are my arms and thighs (the belly will go when it goes) so while cardio would help with the legs I'll need to start on the weights to get working on my arms. I may just start with arm curls using some cans of soup or something easy. My friend who had a bypass last July says that getting a personal trainer is the best thing she could have done 'cause she had NO idea what to do to help where she wanted help.
Your night out doesn't sound like it ended with too fun... though at least now you know! I haven't tried anything with loads of sugar in it yet. I was never one for sugary things in the first place. I'm more salty stuffs. Hubby wanted McD's for dinner last night, so I had a thing of the McBites. They were nice and it was just the right amount of foods. :) Hope you're feeling better today! :)

Hiya Jenna, yes I feel fine today thanks. I just realised how terrible my typing was on that last post!! Tut tut me.

I have a few friends who are personal trainers so maybe when I get into doing some sort of physical activity I could ask for their advice.

Yes I admit it was a silly idea but I do have quite a sweet tooth so I just wanted to see where my boundaries were. Hopefully my tastes will change over time and I'll crave things that I can actually eat. But that sounds far too easy doesn't it?! Haha.

lol... Yes, that would make it a bit too easy. I was craving a bit of something earlier so I had a small teaspoon of nutella. Just sweet enough to cover the craving, but nothing too drastic. :)
You're lucky to have personal trainers as friends! Then again, you're lucky to have friends in general. I haven't had friends since I moved to England in 2009. :( Makes 'complaining' about hubby a bit awkward. :p
