Nutella is amazing! I originated from the US. I've just found it's not as easy to make random friends here as it was there and I miss just hanging out with girly friends and doing things that hubby doesn't much enjoy.

Yeah I get that...my other half doesn't come from round here and he struggles to make friends. His closest friend is an hour away so it does get tricky.
We went round to his sisters last night for drinks with her and her husband and my other half's mum who's back from Spain for a visit. It was so nice, we just laughed (they drank) and shared old stories. But the best part of the evening for me, selfishly, was when I came in...they all went whoaaaa we can tell you've lost weight, you look amazing! It was just what I needed, because I haven't really seen them since the op and I just still feel like I'm not losing. I can just tell. It's making me a bit of a grump lol x

Morning Pip as always always lovely and up beat hun no matter what even despite the dumping episode. Glad your feeling better this morning, what about low fat/sugar custard i'm having some as deserts its nice tho have something sweet but possibly ok for you?
Its lovely when people notice the loss bet that made you eel a million dollars, lots more of those moments to come. Its silly things like the towel LOL i've been doing same parading around shouting to hubby come look !!! OMG what are we like.......... Hi Jenna hun too sorry to hear you've not many friends here, i'm a bit isolated from friends so can totally understand, the other half can only substitute so much, but nothing like a girlie friend to natter too........... am happy to be a long distant buddy, if you ever want a natter x x x

Hey Crystal hun, yeah I'm ok with the custard but had so much of it just after surgery that I'm sick of it now haha. It's incredibly creamy and sickly to me. I like to be upbeat, who wants to read about a misery guts??
I have a feeling that the little things are going to need to see me through because I think I am going to be one of those who loses really slowly. But it doesn't matter ultimately because I would have been getting fatter, not thinner had I not done this! That's what I need to remember.

NSV for today, an old pair of work trousers which I've not been able to wear for almost 2 years now fit again. Another half a stone would probably make them look better, but they fit and I'll take that!!

That is seriously the best feeling ever! When someone notices something you've been working hard to achieve.
Yay for you on that front too! My MIL keeps saying, 'Oh, your face looks a bit thinner...' She's trying, but I don't think people can really notice yet. To be honest... I ALWAYS like chittering with people. It's bad sometimes. I love texting and emailing and of course having a gathering when it's possible. I can type forever... my fingers tend to move faster than my brain sometimes, so I tend to go on and on. I'm not a private person (at all) so that sometimes scares people off a bit. I just figure that life is too short and you miss out on so much if you don't just open up to all possibilities. lol
Yaaay... I like friends.

It is a lovely feeling yeah and I have a sneaky admission I'm afraid...I weighed this morning. I'm sorrrrrrrry, I'm so weak haha. Hope you're not mad!! Official weigh in is tomorrow though, I'm not ready for not weighing. I feel like a naughty kid haha.
I am an open person in a situation like this, but I've learnt from past mistakes in over sharing at work. My colleagues know as little as possible about me. It's lovely to have some close friends on here though because we are all sharing very similar situations and can offer support that other family and friends just can't.
Just thrown a strop with the other half. He is so placid most of the time and then he just snaps over something really stupid. He doesn't mean anything by it but I have to teach him a lesson don't I? I do the silent treatment really well, he's scarpered off upstairs now but I'm sat down here giggling. Aren't I mean? X

I know exactly what you me, when I weighed myself last week it was a 4lb loss and at first I was disappointed thinking 'i thought I'd be losing more than that 2 weeks out' but eventually came around to 4lb is sooo much compared to just a diet and exercise!! Xx
