I lost 1lb this week. Bit annoyed as hubby lost 4 and he wasn't even trying! Grrr.
Sigh. It's a long road isn't it? I'm sure if i was trying to gain it would be much quicker than this! Lol.

Just done a fab 3.5mile fast walk with buggy (and baby in it!), doggies and husband round beautiful loch in fife. Just stopped so hubby can get a big mac meal. He's evil!
Just a coffee for me then....

Xx

0.75lbs for me this week and im alittle gutted as my scales read -2lb on friday.
Its still a loss and not bad considering it was my 1st week back on night shift in over 1 month.

Fab losses this week everyone is doing really well.

Lets hope next week is just as good!

Miss Hungry - I totally understand that you feel down in the dumps. We hope that by having the band we will beat some of our demons but sadly we still have to show restraint and we know how hard that is.

Don't be so hard on yourself, you are still early days and we have to work hard to learn how to use our tool to best effect. Just get back on it and you will feel great when you show a loss next week.

not bad tam..... sometimes ur body just starts resisting, but u know it wil start coming off again soon as we just consuming enough calories!

karen, ive said it before and ill say it again :p ...to gain just one pound over the easter period is TINY compared to what we would have gained normally! pat urself on the back for a minimal gain and get re focused :D

neen.,.... i cant cut sugar out.....thats why i love my neen slimfasts (yes i call them that!) getting the macdees consitency nowadays!!

Hi Magic xxx It's my particular problem! If the slimfasts are working for you that's awesome x I am doing the same method but with protein shake mix.
My main problem was being "good" all week and then buying trigger foods in for the weekend. Whilst having a treat is good once a week for morale/metabolism etc, I was having my nemesis (haagan daz) and I just can't have a small amount of that :(
Also I feel better without bread and starchy stuff too, hoping to get rid of any cravings which I managed to before going low carb.
Now on the weekend I will have some potato or some berries with a little proper cream for my treat and leave the highly refined baked goods/sugar off the menu.
I lost 5 stone on Atkins years ago and I would force myself to go eat choc and sugary/starchy stuff on the weekends because I had convinced myself that I had to have them.
What really happened was during the week on the plan I would lose my sweet cravings and force myself to reactivate them on the weekend. What a dork!
This time I hope to just stay on the plan.
I like slimfast so if it's not too high in sugar/carbs or it fits in with my carb allowance later I might still use it.
Time will tell I guess!

Its great to see how supportive you all are on here....leaves a lovely warm snuggly feeling!

Karen - aka Miss Hungry - So you gained a pound...darling don`t beat yourself up....times like Easter, Christmas and Birthdays are always gonna be difficult...I guess when I used to go to slimming clubs they advised cutting down a little the week before and the week after these events...but also give yourself some leeway, and don`t get to bound up with the figures....because life is for enjoying. One week is no big deal....its how you deal with it that matters!

Neen you really do deserve a pat on the back (and half a glass of wine at least) because you have made excellent progress since you started back on here this year!
I reckon this year could be a fantastic year for you to fight your demons....and finally get down to nearer your target....or even surprise yourself and get there!

Hope everyone is enjoying there Sunday...Just in the process of doing a minted lamb roast for my sister and her o/h as well as for Ken and me (mini portion for me).

Love Kat x

i agree with neen...u have done so well! and to stick to atkins....dunno how u do it. good call on bringing in less junky stuff during the weekends....i LURRRRRRVE hagen daaz..the new one choc and caramel and pecans....ooh id give my left arm for it! haha...i can defo polish off a tub of that!otherwise its ben and jerrys choc fudge brownie...ooh im drooling!!

i cant drink protein shakes, they taste like water with choc flavour... yucky! whats the yummiest one that imitated macdonalds! hahaha.....

Hi xx I've been filling in what I've had on the food and exercise thread x
the protein powder I have is nice (some are gopping!!) I get BSN lean dessert protein which is nice and I make it with milk rather than water so it's quite creamy and tasty.
Some of the protein shakes are fouler than foul, you have to shop around a bit.
I have a shake for breakfast at the moment because it's convenient, at the mo one main meal a day (eg cooked) so maybe some bacon, dry fried egg, mushrooms and tinned tomatoes/grilled tomatoes (it all sticks in the pouch so long which is great)
Then maybe a little bit of lettuce, spring onions, tomatoes, in a small bowl with some ham or tuna and a spoon of mayo etc. But usually I am really not overly hungry at all.
It's not totally zero carbs, just good carbs from the milk and veggies.
I have sugar free jelly or s/f angel delight for a treat later on, or an atkins bar or some ham/plain chicken to nibble later on.
I haven't been hungry at all and what I do eat is really tasty and satisfying.
No cravings depsite Aunt Flo all week and just feel better already.
For my treats weekly I'm going to have strawberries/raspberries and cream or s/f angel delight made up with cream..and maybe the odd baked sweet potato or something.
I don't miss bread at all.
(btw Magic that's the flavour of haagen daz I ate in one sitting almost last time...I can't be trusted around that stuff!!!)
