The Banders Saturday Weigh In

weighing in a day early as off on hols tomorrow. 3lbs lost. Yeah

STS for me. Ach well...it was 5lbs last week so I suppose you can't lose that every week! I'm not that bothered- going for another fill on Wednesday.

Ok, had op on Tuesday & am 4 lb lighter! Made up, this with Pre op diet = 22lb weight loss in under 3 weeks. Woohoo - onwards & downwards!! xx

thanks for kind words evereyone. defo think i am a fortnightly loser and not big losses but smal steps to goal.

1lb off this week. creeping there but rather be creeping down than creeping up!

Well, it crept on, it'll just have to creep off!! haha.
The nice thing is that you have that confidence with a band that you're not going to put on half a stone the next week because the diet has failed again so you'll just have the takeaways and chocolate etc. Thats what I like about it....it gives me confidence that I can succeed in this war against the flab!! :)

Well done everyone, I'm so happy to be on this side & part of the Saturday weigh in! Mrs P I love what u said. I am looking forward to not going on a downhill spiral if I have a gain. I love this band so much already! xx

Finally have my toe in the 14's....just! 14 stone 13lbs. 2 pound off.
I haven't been so active on here lately as I find it hard to see other banders sucesses when I find it so hard. Still, iam getting there....slowly!
Well done to everyone else.....honestly! lol

Well done everyone, especially Karen for getting into the 14s. Just 1lb for me. Note to self - 3 large glasses of White Zinfandel plus 4 double vodka and oranges when out on the town do not equal a good weight loss no matter how good you are with food!

No loss for me this week but i have had another noticeable body shape change with my belt going in another notch.

Plus i increased my weights at the gym and have increased my walking speed on the treadmill so i am hoping that i seeing fat loss replaced by muscle gain........well, i hope that's what it is.

Ahhhhhh bless you ! It is frustrating when everything seems to go so well for some yet others face an uphill battle each and every day - I'm at my usual " cave in " stage of 8 weeks where I lose interest in a diet and go back to old bad habits - I can only dream of being in the 14s .... stones & clothes size would be soooooo nice ! You've come a long way - be very proud :)

Remember folks it is not just about the scales - which is why I never bother with them. How your are health wise is important and if you want to measure anything go by how your cloths are feeling. Going by the scales can be totally soul destroying - but I understand why people monitor things by the scales.

You must look at where you've come from and where you're going. You've done so well and I'm so jealous at your total weight loss. This thread is a difficult one if you're struggling because it highlights the negatives as well as the positives and human nature makes us see or feel the negatives only sometimes.
I can understand TB's policy of not weighing but at the moment for me (I'm only 7weeks into this journey) it gives me another tool to show if I'm doing it right! But I think I'll stop when I'm a bit more in control of it all. But I certainly don't want to make you feel bad! However, I STS this week so there!

You're one of my role models so don't despair! xx

Thank you Mrs Pill, you are lovely! I suppose Iam my own worst critic. I absolutely love being a size 18 though, it's such a novelty.
Oh and, today I made £74 from selling my fat clothes on ebay!!

Miss H we are all here to support one another so do not stay away if you think you are doing badly. You are not:hug99:.

No wls is a magic bullet - it takes a lot of hard work and dedication and that big commitment to make those lifestyle changes. None of us are saints - and we are all going to have those times when we fall off the wagon. The thing is to recognise when things are not as they should be and correct them. Hopefully with the band it will cut out that yoyo effect from other diets. Eventually things will click into place and we will get where we want to be - no matter how long it takes.

I choose not to use scales because of what happened after my op. Not only did I wake up to find that I had not been given the procedure I had been fighting long and hard for but I gained 9 pounds during the op which took what seemed months to shift. It nearly finished me off and therefore I decided that for the sake of my health that I had to find a way of getting my head around what had happened - working with the tool I had been given and moving on - and that the trauma of weighing myself could not figure in that package. I was nearly 24 stones when I started my pre op diet so you can see my journey is going to be a long one - but as I have said before I am happy taking the scenic route;).

Wow- that must have been a bit of a shock TB. Bypass to Band in 30 minutes. I'd have cried! I bet that has taken some sorting out in your head!

Karen: you must spend that money on size 18's and enjoy it. Its been hard fought for!

I have loss 1.3kgs this week. I am sitting in the surgeon's waiting room as I get my second fill today, just spent an hour with dietican in a group session discussing snacking, good snacks vs bad snacks and understanding our relationship to food. It has been a good visit, you can ask questions and discuss issues. I was told that I need to do more mechanical eating, ie not have so many liquid meals but to spend some time eating salads, vegetables, fruit during the day rather than waiting until I get home at night.

Well done with the weight loss TM. Thats really good :) Interesting about mechanical eating instead of just swallowing liquids. Keep it going.
I lost 3lbs this week..hurray. Had my 2nd fill too which has been a bit wierd...getting used to that tight feeling. But thats definitely contributed to the weight loss. I love "Bertie Band"! <3
