The Banders Saturday Weigh In

hi ladies! been majorly busy with being away and son's party and TERRIBLE eating to accompany it.... week after my last weigh in i went up 2 lbs and then last week another +1! so i put 3 back on. had my 4th fill and need to focus! will weigh in on saturday and then update ticker...hopefully wont have to add the pounds....!!

I've now taken to weighing on Fridays. STS for me, I had my third fill today taking me to 7ml in a 10ml band. Hopefully I'll have a 2lb loss to report next week, that would be perfect!
Good luck to everyone else xx

Hi Karen,

Hope the fill is good for you. 7ml just pushed me over the edge and lasted a week but had to have 0.25 taken out. Take it steady and take very small bites and chew really really well. Good luck xx

Hi guys, well after a week of lazing about in a houseboat just reading and fishing I still managed to loose 0.6kgs. I really thought I would come back heavier so I am rather chuffed......

Good luck Miss Hungary, it is amazing what an extra mil or two will do.

Be aware that some foods that passed through easily may take alot more chewing to digest.

Four pounds lost for me this week. V V Happy as I have met my September target and I am now in the 16s. Four more pounds and I will be the same weight as I was when I met my hubby just under 10 years ago.

Good luck this week Miss Hungry....and I cannot wait to read everyone elses losses this week. Fingers crossed for you all xxx

Well done FB and TM. Really pleased for you both:scale:

I lost 4lbs this week ( thats my 3lb holiday blip out of the way then!!) Going to see my nurse about a small fill maybe on Wednesday. Still not in the 'green zone' but not too far off.

Good luck everyone else. :)

Well done everyone! Brilliant weight losses! I have lost 2lb this week. Know why it has slowed down, my fruit & veg intake has been limited. Need to get back onto wiser choices this week. I am still on soft food so have been having things like cottage pie, quorn lasagne etc. Still, 2lb off is a loss and it's all good to me!! Good luck everyone xxxx

Hey Guys and Gals - Well I don't know how..... but I lost 2lbs this week - The mind boggles lol..............Well done everyone. P>S> I got myself a lovely suit yesterday a size flipping ten, whoop whoop. xxx

What abrill week for everyone :) must be something in the air.

Mrs P - I am being really Dim, but what is the 'green zone'?

so lost 3lbs since the fill on tuesday! :D which brings me to a STS...pleased.

now to stay on track...stupid head hunger is my killer...i did see mazza's tips which were good.

bit depressing when i went for my fill and was chatting to 3 ladies as i sipped my water.... not being funny but of the 4 of us there only one was 'normal' weight. one of them was there for a defill but had lost 2stones in a year so was a bit annoyed and the other was quite but not looking too happy either.... everyone on here does well, everyone in newspapers and magazine articles do well.... its me and some of the women off HW that seem to struggle!!

Some good losses everyone well done. Magic the worse thing you can do is compare yourself to other people. We are all different. It can be soul destroying to do that so just concentrate on you;).

tranquil x

Hi Flutterby- the green zone is a term used by some docs/nurses to help you or them understand if you have enough restriction.
Yellow zone: Hungry, Eating big meals, looking for food- so you need a fill.
Green Zone: Feeling full on small meals which lasts for a long time and losing weight. Just not feeling hunger at all.
Red Zone: Difficulty swallowing, reflux/heartburn, Night cough,PB-ing, eating slider foods to be able to eat anything.

Apparently, the green zone is quite psychological too. I suppose its all in your attitude as well.

So, green is good :) and red and yellow is bad :( !!

Thanks Mrs P. I would have said I was in green - up until this morning. But I am absolutely ravenous today - eaten two fairy cakes and 5 rice cakes with chocolate on. So roll on Friday when I go back to hospital for my 2nd fill I think. I feel so annoyed with myself that my will power has disappeared today :(

I know how you feel FB. I've just been out for a meal with family and ate a huge battered fish(no chips) and struggled with an icecream but i can't move!! I swear my band will pop through my ribs any moment now! That's terrible isn't it! I don't feel like I have any restriction at all although the meal was much smaller than I would have eaten before. So thats how I reckon I need a small fill...I'm hungry a lot and I can eat quite a lot though maybe not as much as before. But I'm not losing as easily as before so I guess that's a sign.
I think that the zone will fluctuate as well.....at least that's what I'm guessing from reading everyone's posts on here. Its tricky isn't it! I really hadn't thought it would be such a big learning experience....but its massive. Not in a bad way....just new. I'm loving it though....I just wish it was all done and dusted, like BlueDiamond. Roll on next year!!

Mrs P if you think your band is going to pop through your ribs you must have some restriction LOL.

What size band have you and how many mls? How many fills have you had? When do you have your one? Sorry for so many questions, but our journey so far is very similar. I think like you though, I will just want a small fill to help me.

I think part of my problem is that I have eaten too small meals today (which were softer food) so then I fancied snacking on the wrong things. Anyway I am going to have lovely southern style chicken and baked potato wedges this evening and get myself back on track. First potatoes that are not mashed, so I will see how I get on...

Catch you soon, and thanks for your help x
