Terri, sounds like you need some good painkillers to help you to relax more, as you're probably really tensing up with the pain. You're probably having spasms too I bet, because of the tensing. I was given diazepam the last time my back was bad, to take with codeine!!! Just knocked me out, but what it did do was made me comfortable enough to be able to sleep, then my muscles started to heal themselves. Good luck!

Rachael - sounds like everything's moving along really quickly!!! It's so good though, it will keep your mind off your WLS stuff! Can't wait to hear all about the house though, and good luck with it all. Housebuying is another one of those "most stressful things you can ever do", but I don't think anyone ever put weight loss surgery into the category, so you can tell us later how it weighs up (no pun intended!!!).

Lorns..xx

PS: I wish it was next Wednesday so I could go and get our little Truffle-dog!!!

Hahahaha thanks Lorna, well you know as soon as we move in you and hubby, and of course truffles will be invited :D

I bet you cant wait until you get your littel abby :D she is sooo lovely :D
xxx

well did something a bit silly as hubby was off have been taking 2 tramadol,to no avail, so i then took 2 co dydramol an hour later and have had a good 3 hour sleep and feel a bit more relaxed but still in agony

Terri - tramadol is good stuff but obviosuly the other stuff worked well! Get to the docs and get a diagnosis and prescription then take the regularly so they keep up the effect... When you're in pain sometimes you'll try anything. I'm so surprised my liver is okay because before I got a proper migraine medication I used to take so much paracetemol. Could easily take 20 in a day, usually to no avail. I used to bang my head against the wall trying to stop the pain :(

Rach - we are both dying to get Truffle home!! A week Wednesday! And thank you, it will be lovely to bring her to see you! Will you have your dog or is he the family dog? And will you be getting your own if he's not yours??!!!!

Thanks Lorna, when its this bad Tramadol does normally work, but it hasn't worked and have been taking them since sat night when it happened, thats why I took both lots lol

My back problem is what lead me to wls as no drs can agree what the issue is - MRI scan shows arthritus, but all but 1 dr says its my weight not arthritus, back has been good since just before christmas, so gradually weaned off tabs, so hopefully wls will lead to the drs being able to sort it out because if it clears up after wls then it must be my weight but if not then obviously it must be arthritus as I said in an earlier post its been nearly 12 monthd since it has been this bad.

did you manage to get a doctors appointment terri? Dont suffer in silence babe xx

You should go to badger clinic at good hope if you are still in agony terri. You might have done some damage?? Get it checked out woman. I can come and give you a lift if you want me to.

That's cool - I'll bring les chats as well!! Ha ha! They are HUGE though and we'd never get all the carriers in the car!

Housebuying is definitely a stressful time, but also such an exciting time, so hopefully one will outweigh the other! The excitement outweighing the stress that is!!
