I am looking forward to tonight...but also slightly nervous. I shall be the one who has bitten off all her lovely long nails with worry :( lol

I shall be the one in a grey cardigan lol :D

xx

Im looking forward to it as well Rach, dont think there is anything to be nervous about though. I think it will just be the professionals standing up telling us about the process and a chance to meet others in the same position

What a palaver! According to BOSPA, Walsall criteria is NICE guidelines. So you should qualify. But if funding is an issue, then theys hould be up front!

Go to the appointment and see what they say.

Best of luck.

Yes i will do i know, it seems a right palava i shall go though, but i cant really understand is why book u an appointment if there,s no funding!!

Oh God Sarah, you must be so frustrated.

Hope you havent got to wait too long for your appointment now. At least you are getting somewhere hun. If you are a good candidate for surgery then the Manor will support your application for funding. What does it say on the BOSPA website about Walsall funding criteria?

Thanx sam,it just says follows the NICE guidelines but i dont know what that means ive tried to look for it on NICE site but cant find it!! im not really good on computers though!!lol.

somebody clever will post you the link Sarah, but basically, NICE guidelines are surgery for anyone with BMI over 40, or over 35 with co-morbidities.

THanx sam hope i havent got to wait to long now ,tracey lowe seemed ever so nice on the phone as well xx

good girl Shel! of course you can have a star. You can be teachers pet for the day as well if you like LMAO

it is run by the hospital Natalie. I was told that Dr Hartland will be speaking, plus some other professionals. Dont know how long it will take though, sorry.

How will you know if your PCT will fund your op??

Or well where can you find out?

Red - no wonder you're wary of ops now. It is something people dread, but to have had it happen and then to have to have more ops, must be terrifying. You're very brave!

I will be going to the meeting tonight with my hubby - I've got a turquoise long-sleeved tee-shirt on, unless I get my lunch on it as usual and have to go home first to change!!

Lorna

Thanks Terri :D
