Weekly weigh in

I think the short at the back bob will definitely suit you but I do like the style you have now. Very pretty. I had the short back bob about 2 years ago and loved the hair but it highlighted my chins then lol. Then I grew it and now it is shortest ever but looks much thicker. It'll take me a while to get used to 'doing' it mind as when it was long it was often in a pony tail or held back with an Alice Band.
I get my eyebrows threaded every pay day. It's only £2.50 and makes such a difference. I do my nails religiously now. I just never bothered before.
I'd love a style makeover though. I'm really not sure about my make up , hair colour and what exactly is mutton and what is lamb clothes wise !

That's the problem Miss T. Just cos I like it don't mean it's going to look good on & even if it does does it look right at my age.

Yup it's a problem. I am also really struggling because I look so much older now I've lost weight. Because my poor old face is now somewhat droopy I also look really sad !
I can't stop buying bright colours after years of being the woman in black but am not at all sure it's they're becoming for a woman of my advanced years !

I can honestly say I don't look older; in fact I look younger than I did before I lost weight. My face isn't droopy. Do you have any kind of facials to tighten up the skin, Miss Tickle? Also the lightness of my step compared to the way I plodded along before makes me look younger.

I'm with you both girls I feel I look older but others say I look younger now I've lost weight. I'm lucky I don't have to many wrinkles or spare skin on my face but the thinner look to it is ageing in my eyes. Clothes hair, make-up etc are a work in progress through trial & error I to would love some guidance but someone paid to tell me what looks right or someone who knows me who would I trust more to be honest? But agree I go for more colours these days but am trying to get classic multi use items that are the core pieces with bright tips etc to mix & match as I get closer to my goal.

Penny I had a session with debenhams shoppers, told them I wanted new weekend wear and to bring me whatever! It was fab! Def worth a try but the key is give them a free reign and see what they would put you in! (ps couldn't find you on ww)

Sounds a good idea Jo I have some vouchers for there as well may have a me day soon & go visit.
Not got on laptop yet will have a go soon & see if I can find you. Thanks for the support & encouragement.

Another week of no loss but on the other hand no gain. Which is lucky considering I've been eating better this week but not been as good or as sensible as I could be. Managed to do some shopping without letting the demons win which is a bonus.
Off to do more embroidery & avoid the old habits at least while seeing I can't eat as it could spoil the fabric.

1lb off this week not much but a loss after 4 week stalling it's better than nowt or even a dreaded gain. So here's hoping I can keep the downward momentum again.

Having the same problems stalling for 3 weeks losing maybe 3lb then staling again then 1lb then nutha stall, stalled gain this week, but hey we are more healthy now. xx:D

This is definately a roller coaster ride isn't it ladies for the emotions if nothing else. But as you say at least we are much healthier than we were, being so close to our personal targets as well but not quite there is frustrating but well get there we've come so far we will make that finish line eventually & the last bit does always take the hardest work yet. Good luck this week girls may those scales turn down & stay down for us for a while yet.

1/2lb gain this week quickly followed on my return home by nature having a clear out typical but it means I've not hit my target of a healthy bmi & weight by the 1st year since my op as such Thursday is 1yr to the date I'm 11st 5.5lbs a loss of a smidge under 8st lost from my heaviest & 5st lost from the start of the 2wk pre-op diet. My Maths say that whilst I'm still between 9 & 11lbs off the healthy bmi & max point of a healthy weight but I've lost almost 93% of my excess weight. I'm pleased & proud a little disappointed not to have hit the 100% target I think I'd really hoped to hit by my surgiversary but I'm so close I shouldn't be really & I am proud of every ounce lost let alone the lbs & stones. Let's see what they say at the hospital on Thursday a year to the date of my surgery.

Well done! That's an impressive number and I bet you're feeling the difference. I'm just 2.5 weeks post banding so it's great to read about a real success story - v motivational.

Thanks, bypass 5/7/11. Started at 121.5kg or 19st 3lbs, by pre-op diet I was 16st 5lbs lost a stone in two weeks on that now 72.1kg or 11st 3.5lbs. Feel great in much less pain, much more active generally great best thing I ever did other than my 3 boys of course.

I am Maz to think 18mths ago I'd have lost 3st even with ww let alone a year after surgery being so close to a healthy bmi & weight. Combine it with great results for my low ability Maths class in their exam, flowers from a grateful parent with a lovely note of thanks I was brimming with pride yesterday & still floating on air today.
