How strange that we all love em!! Although mine is part vintage and part ordinary bike lol!!

I can just see our mini goal posts now riding our gorgeous bikes!!!

Lots of love x x x

Evening Blossom !
These vintage bikes are all the rage ! Easy to step through as well .. I have to swing my whole bloody leg over the saddle as I can't get the angle and lift with one of my knees , so I look most attractive try to straddle my mountain bike ! Hahahah ! Then of course my arse swallows the saddle Roflll .. I have one of those postman size saddles with the springs and it's dead comfy .. Bought that baby after riding the camel trail !
Today's menu
Options Hot chocolate for breakfast made with skimmed milk
400ml smoothie . Home made , full of goodness
4 ladles of home made soup thinned down with milk
Options hot choc with milk

For some odd reason I havnt been able to drink a cup of tea since my op ..

Catching up on a couple of season of Game of Thrones before the new season ! Eeekkkk !

How do I find those cycle routes are there any maps online. Wouldn't mind hitching my bike up to car and having A go

Also were you given a goal from Mr Byrne? I've just thought of a fair goal but wasn't actually given one.

Hey Beep !
Havnt seen Dr Byrne since morning of op .. I think I will see him in a few weeks , I sure they said 6 weeks post op .. Waiting on an appointment .. You live near Southampton ? I live on the outskirts .. Been reading through your diary today , my goodness you've come a long way and lost a massive amount of weight ! Wow !
Free Map, Guide & Information for The Camel Trail in north Cornwall, UK
http://www.hants.gov.uk/rh/cycling/meon-valley.pdf .. Wickham trail
http://www.hants.gov.uk/pdf/cycling/Test Way.pdf Just outside Romsey to Stockbridge

All beautiful trails , all perfect for picnics etc
The Wickham one will just about be bursting with bluebells , so heaven scented with bluebells , primroses and wild garlic as you ride along , no shops along there so take water and a picnic , or climb up the side of the bridges and look for a pub .. It. An be a little muddy at the Wickham end but it soon clears up .. Any more info just let me know ..
Aren't you nearly at your goal ?

The warm long days are coming . Break out your Bobby socks and tennis shoes and get on a bike , looking super cute ! I know you live right down the bottom but I bet there are some amazing bike trails there .. You can't ride a bike along the cliff trails ? What about country parks etc , or even to the nearest shop ! I live in a small town but as I have only just passed my driving test , I used to ride my bike everywhere . Even though I was large I was reasonably fit and loved my bike ..
I am and always will be a country girl at heart , long summers , smell of hay and straw , dust in the air from the combines , gathering mushrooms , watching badgers play and sneaking up on deer .. I always had some sort of rescued animal in my bedroom !
But I'm jealous of you living by the sea . I adore a stormy day by the sea , to feel the power of it and watch as it reminds us we are so small ..

Whoa ! Feeling very romantic and wenchy this evening !

Very lucky Niccie ! All that wonderful fresh air ..

My favourite place on earth is coastal . It's a small place called Hengistbury Head near Christchurch / Mudeford .. It's a place we used to holiday at when I was a little girl . Only huts to sleep in , no running water at the time and no electric , just gas camp stoves and candles. Pure heaven for a girl who's legs just wanted to run with her dog .
The cliffs there are so beautiful and the beach is soft and warm .. Was the only place me and my elder brother ever got on , we would fight to the death at any other time lol ..
There a little land train that takes you down to the beach and the huts , as cars are not allowed . There is a cafe there though that serves hot food ..
My dads ashes were spread there in the waves and it's where I want mine put also ..

You girls who live by the sea are so blessed ..

I go for hikes with a friend there. Love it love it love it! Hard work going Up but so worth it.

Morning Beep
I can take my mobility scooter there also . There's a track that leads right to the top,of the cliff and they've made a proper path so I can go all the way along the cliff on my trolley .
If you sit outside at the first cafe , up at the main car park , the baby starlings in spring , will come and feed from your hands !
Xxx

Blossom , don't blame me if you get obsessed with Vikings ! Hehehe

I'm determined this year to do these trails again .. Even if I have to put a cushion under me bum !
Got the day to myself today as hubby has to work :( .. so I'm at a bit of a loss ..

Pftttt ! Guess who has the shed key then ! Yep .. His lordship has .. Oh well not today then .. Will go for a shuffle around the garden then ..

Xxxx

Oh that has happened to me many times as we've only the one key to the flipping garage!

I too love cycling, had a few bikes over the years and one of my favourites was my Dawes Duchess with a wicker basket on the front.

I haven't rode much in the last 2 years as we moved to very hilly place and I have problems with my facet joint in my back and have to have regular steroid injections. I'm hoping that losing some weight will help ease it.

Anyway, as I'm trying to improve my activity levels I bought a new bike on Saturday...an electric one and I flipping love it! I can't wait to get out on it. It will still give me a good workout if I keep it on its lowest power as you still have to pedal but it will give me a boost up the hills :D x

Morning Noodles !

A Dawes Duchess ! Now that's a seriously beautiful bike ! I see a soft green version of that bike parked up outside my work place sometimes .. Lots of people stop and admire it ..

Electric bike ! Wow ! I like the sound of that . Easier on hills but still getting exercise ..

How you feeling ?

I had a beautiful burgandy and gold one, loved it.

I'm feeling really good thanks Mindy. How are you, how's the port healing? x

I've removed the last dressing and all healed now and yesterday I discovered I can eat carrs cheese melt crackers! I was sooo happy lol.

Off to York now for next couple of days for a team meeting staying at a beautiful hotel. Only snag is the deal that was booked on my behalf, includes cream tea on arrival (pass) and a 2 course dinner, the food is always amazing! So I'll be having soup for my main and probably ice cream. No-one knows about the op so will just say i'm on a majot diet.

My hubbykindly pointed out that it was eating all the lovely food whilst working away led me to where I am today! He's lovely but always straight to the point.

As I work away alot and travel loads I've also bought myself a small cooler bag which i've packed 3 upbeat protein drinks, 2 skyr yoghurts and you guessed it 3 carrs melts. x

Over the last couple of the day's the port has all but stopped hurting . Which is great ! I know it's there , it's still twinging if I bend down to quick but it's ok now ..

Beep, did you take at look at the bike trails yet ?

Never looked for before as I never thought about using it until I was watching some smoothie recipies on YouTube .. Frozen fruit ..
The USA has a huge array of frozen fruits at their disposal .
I went into Iceland all excited thinking I would come out of there with a hoard of easy to use fruit .. Nope .. A summer fruit mix and blueberries .. That was it ..
Tesco and sainsburys the same , very limited .. :(
I would love to have found peaches , pineapple , kiwi .. So I'm going to have to have a go and freeze them all myself ..

I got a bad hankering for butternut squash after reading a thread on here , so I've put a soup/stew on and the smell of it is making my belly rumble !
Butternut Squash-Lentil Stew recipe - from Tablespoon!

It's unusual as it has peanut butter in it ! Caught my eye straight away ! So now it's simmering in the slow cooker , filling the house with an aroma that's better than any scented candle !
Trying to resist stepping on my scales , it's very hard .. But I'm going to try and wait until Sunday when hubby and I can go together ..

Does anyone else use homemade smoothies , and if so what do,you make them with ?
Mine are a real mix up lol .. I've always been an open the door and throw it in kind of cook and the smoothies seem to be the same !
This mornings consisted of .... 1/2 banana , blueberries , melon , grapes , 4 good spoons of Fage yogurt , coconut milk , frozen spinach blocks x 2 , hair and skin vitamin tablet , a probiotic vitamin ( helps with ketosis breath ) protein powder , flax seed powder , small dob almond butter .. Makes for 2 X 400ml .. Delicious ! I use this as a breakfast/lunch as I can't seem to eat or drink anything much before 12pm .. This smoothie will keep me going until late afternoon when I have an options hot choc , then my homemade soup at dinner time ..
I'm still in shock that I don't feel hungry , even though the band is wide open at the moment .
Feeling positive and hopeful ..

your smoothie recipe sounds yummy I'm starting to check out all options and get myself set up for.when I have my op ...not for another 6 months but I.so want it to work and give myself best chance I'm doing nothing but research at the moment...xx

TMI alert ..

Just had a very unpleasant experience .. Didn't have much to eat today as I had been busy flitting here there and everywhere . Last had a bowl of soup at about 3.30pm ..
So decided to have a mug of Options .. Without thinking I went and made myself nearly a bloody pint of it . How friggin stupid of me .. A lapse in thinking , thinking that's it's only liquid and won't matter ..
Well let me tell you it mattered a lot ! Within 30 mins of drinking it all , I have had the most uncomfortable cramping .
Not the stomach but the intestines . The noises sounded like a cat giving birth .. Then the pain came and I have been on the loo for the best part of 30 mins , sweating and feeling unwell .. While My nether regions evacuated quicker than a fire drill !
Live and learn Mindy , live and learn ..
Never again ..
