Gastric Balloon Any ballooners out there? Support needed!

Hey Neisie. I didn't mean buscopan it's actually called Buccastem it says it's for anti sickness. I've not took buscopan yet going to start today. Back of my throat feels very sore and tight. Woke up every hour or so in the night to drink water. Thanks for the milk advice x

Oh, ok :) sorry. The Buscopan helps with the cramping. Just keep sipping away. These are the anti sickness suppositories that I've been prescribed. Have a great day!

Thanks Neisie! ? I've just taken buscopan but already been sick is this still normal for day 3? I will ask my doctor about the anti- sickness I'm expecting him to call me today. Hope you have a nice day x

Sorry you are suffering hun :(. I was two weeks before I stopped throwing up and even after then I had the occaisional relapse. I wasnt given any anti sickness pills either (I'm allergic to them) just Chewable Lanzaprozole (Fast Tabs). Everyones recovery time is different all I can say is it does get better so hang in there and possibly go see doc about antisickness meds in the meantime ;)

Thanks femfrankie. I feel really rough guess that is part of the package. Received a call from the centre today woman advised me to eat dry toast but I don't think I can stomach anything. Can you tell me what you ate during sickness?x

Dry toast I don't think will be the answer. Have you tried milky drinks/soup. The sickness will settle but everyone is different. My sickness kicked in 2 weeks after insertion and lasted 2 months! I was told no food for 1st week, mushy food week 2 then gradually introduced other foods. I had scrambled egg day 5 which was heaven lol. I made my own soup and blended it so there were no lumps.
Do you have a nurse or dietician looking after you? Ask to speak to them if you are worried.

Ouch! Did you mange to get out of bed with sickness? I can't cope. I decided against toast. I was told no food for first wk too however the dietician is telling me to try toasts, scramble eggs. I just told her I don't think I can just yet. Going to try milk later. X

It was awful initially but I managed to still go to work. Tended to stick to fluids during the day + soup and small evening meals. Fingers crossed that's over with now only been sick twice in the last 3 weeks. As neisie said you'll barf more now than you have in all your life lol xx

To be honest very little ..jelly, cup a soup (the diet ones) i couldnt stomach my own homemade ones :( milk and yoghurt. For quite a while i would be lucky to hit 300 Cals a day. Just to remember to keep sipping, you really dont want to get deydrated and ill. just the tiniest of sips just enough to wet the mouth and minute gaps inbetween. Its labourious but it wont be for ever as things will settle down.. honest :)

ohhhh and toast OMG no lol

Nooooo toast! Especially if you're not getting enough fluids, it's likely to stick and give you eggy burps :( I was advised liquids for a week, then soft foods. I had a scrambled egg at about 5 days. I had mostly milk, yogurt, Yakult, cup of soup, cottage cheese, mashed banana. About a week in I made applesauce with cinnamon and Splenda and mixed that in with mashed sweet potato. Heaven! Even today, 4.5 months in, I had yogurt, a protein shake, and soup. My easy foods are a God send. Keep your liquids up and try to get your calories from there.

Thanks femfrankie I shall try cup a soup. I've just had a milk ice lollie it's stayed down for now hope it does. Atm I'm worried I'm eating too much? Been having Ice lollies which are 90 calories have had 3 a day and I don't keep them down. Yes no toast! Lol x

Almost finished with my second fasting day this week - unfortunately, I had to do two days in a row as we have to entertain my husband's work colleagues (in from Aberdeen) on Tues and Weds and my friend is flying in from Norway on Thursday for a weekend of fun (Eric Clapton concert, brunch, dhow cruise, beach day). I've done three hour-long sessions at the gym in the last 24 hours, trying to kick it up a notch; if I want more results I've got to put in more effort. Feeling a bit negative because I desperately want to be losing quickly and the reality is a slow loss. At least I'm going in the right direction and I'm really happy with my biceps ;) Rome wasn't built in a day, right? Anywho, just a bit of a ramble. Hope everyone is doing well.

Ramble away my lovely. Look at your before & after photos and see how far you've come in less than 5 months. You have done amazingly and your positive, attitude keeps us all inspired to go that extra mile
Xx

Neisie don't feel deflated you are an inspiration to everyone on here. So are you kismet! You both have come so far and I hope I can do it too! X

Thanks, ladies! Think I'm just a bit hungry and over-emotional. Ah, the joys of being a woman. Off to bed or I'm going to start chewing on my arm!
