Yesterday was another good day for me.

Breakfast:- 2 poached eggs on 2 toast
39 mile bike ride
'For Goodness Shake' recovery drink on my return but then had to pop out so no soak in bath
2 protein bars for lunch
Banana in late afternoon
Then it was my father-in-laws 75th birhday so we went round to his armed with fish and chips for him, my other half and the 3 step-kids. I didn't have any but admit to pinching 2 chips and a very small piece of fish.
My dinner was late, Youngs luxury cod and prawn ocean pie 432kcals protein bar for desert.

Well done on not succumbing to fish n chips Mixman. I notice you're a cyclist, so is my hubby, mountain bikes are his first passion but he loves his road bike as well. Are you in training for an event? My hubby is off to Majorca on a cycling tour in 2 weeks, he's really excited yet nervous. Have a good day.

Good luck on the house front Rachel, I hate moving with a passion, we moved 11 times in 10 years (I'm sure I have gyspy genes) and it gets harder, thankfully I love this house.

Yeah, I've got a 30 mile cross country race on he 16th April at Harewood House in Leeds. I do all my riding on mountain bikes. I did a 57 mile race a couple of weeks ago and this was on the road. I just wanted to finish and wasn't really bothered about what place I came. But I ended up coming 27th out of 47. All the others, apart from one, were on road bikes! So this time, I am bothered about what place I come and decided to up my training and ut out all crap and see what level of fitness I can achieve in a month.

I'm feeling really well at the moment. Yesterday my legs were really strong. I'm experimenting with energy chews/gels at the moment. See what time is best to take them and see how/if any of them affect me. So far so good. They seem to be working great and the timing I'm working on :)
 
Mixxy that pie looks very tasty. I used to love bike riding. I went to university in Hull and I rode a bike between the halls of residence and the university the first year. It was the fittest and slimmest time in my life. I would love to be able to ride again. I have a bike gathering dust in the garage but am too afraid to try it - plus there is nowhere safe nearby. I live right next to a park but they do not allow cycling which is a real shame.

I am still trying the cross trainer - I have done a couple of sessions on it but it makes so much noise and I know I am over the maximum weight limit for it I am afraid I am going to break it:eek:.

Sarah, I could not face seeing old Sue Ellen Ming today. Monday will do:D.

Hi all

Neen I am building up my walking pace as I go and I will try the exercises you kindly gave me. I have managed to download two of them so far and will do the rest over the weekend in between working. Will they burn onto a dvd?

My intake

Actimel
3 cups of coffee drunk through the day
protein shake
tomato soup
water - not very much

I will have a chicken soup later. Today is the first day that I have not felt discomfort since my fill so I am hoping, a week out, that things are now settling.

Breakfast - special K 25g + 50g s/s milk

snack 1 banana, 1 apple

lunch - half a wrap with sliced chicken, sweetcorn, mayo light, tomato and lettuce.

snack - salt & vinegar snak-a-jacks

tea - 1 x sausage and vegetable stir-fry with drizzle of chilli sauce.

yogurt for dessert

Drinks - 2 teas, 1 coffee, 1 horlicks light, 1 ltr nas juice.



Walked Oscar for 1 & half hours this afternoon, weather was so lovely and we both enjoyed it.

I have to be really careful as I suppose it is high calories but I love it on everything. I limit myself to a drizzle. I have missed it being on liquids - don't suppose it would go with soup:D.

Sorry I havent logged on for a while - I've been tryign to sort myself out. Snacking too much and eating the wrong foods because they go down easily. Also been away on a conference with work and because people dont know about the band i have eaten and drunk too much.
So - can I join you all in weighing in and logging my food please? Feel I need a time on the 'straight and narrow'.
I will weigh in tomorrow and start first thing
