Banders Daily Diet and Exercise Log

Did you have any saline put in during the op I wonder?
It could be you are one of the lucky ones that might not need much in your band. (Hope so !)
It may be that there is still a bit of swelling too..it's very much still early days.
Just keep taking it steady, it's amazing how it can change you though.
I was always a really fast eater and now I am always last to finish and everything goes cold.

Empty 10cc band (small). Oh the cold food is just a classy part of my banded life, wouldn't change a thing though! xx

Mornin everyone - Julie, I just love your animated pictures x

Was a little worried yesterday evening that I was going to go back to bad habits.....I had the munchies most of the day and wanted to pick at things. Fortunately I did`nt have anything in to do much damage. Only so many yogurts and snack-a-jacks I could stomach!

But it has hit home that I am still working with my band and `Polly` definately does`nt like overfill! Still trying to combat my head hunger, cos I know I don`t need any extras.

Love Kat x

Morning all! Well, afternoon now. Just popping in to say hi. Not gonna log cos still only on smooth chocolate pretty much. Can't eat anything! Even soup doesn't work.
Am managing a Berocca (left to go flat) so should be ok for vitamins.

Lady coming to take some out on sat, thank goodness. Have been proper miserable at times.

Well done on your logging so far! X

Hi Toffee xxx Well you have a nice treat day after on Saturday and be ready to join us again on Monday x
I got down cups of bovril for variety and seived / thinned soups.
It is blinking miserable hun and I am just relieved you are having it dealt with after a short time rather than putting up with it.
I was licking spoons of yogurt as well...maybe you could try and swap the choc for mullerlights or something.
At the end of the day, this time up til your defill, I wouldn't worry too much about what you have , as long as you try and get something down you for now.
Glad you are getting your vits down.
There is a powder called benefibre that you can disolve in drinks that might help you avoid any related tummy / loo troubles this week as well.

Hi Neen,

Have tried yoghurts but like you say its a matter of just licking the spoon rather than a pot.

Isn't it amazing what 1ml can do!

Ooh, will look up the benefibre later. Might be useful for future!

Do you think you're at your sweet spot now?

Xx

Hi Toffee,
I would say yes, although being a compulsive/emotional eater for so long. It is only sweet if I make the effort to choose wisely with it.
I can still sometimes eat larger amounts and it does vary. Usually it's stuff like slider foods , and things like stress etc always make it varied day to day.
For me now, my band is adequate. I had to have it pretty full to notice it and that can be totally normal too (according to my provider)
So I have a 9cc band with 8cc in it.
I calorie count and have got to know what foods make me feel satisfied personally to the point where I don't eat between meals now and I can cope with snacky cravings.

Oh dear - Just found out I can`t eat crumpets!

Ken thought he would do me one for tea. `Polly` has protested! Have a pain in the middle of my chest, and was a bit sick (sorry tmi) I only had a couple of mouthfulls.....definately not suitable for me to eat. Never again! Ooooooh!

Up to then I had been really focused today.

Breakfast 1 x shredded wheat

Lunch - slice of salmon with lettuce, cue and tomato with mayo light.

snack - yogurt

tea - nothing after the pain of crumpet!

Activity today - A big hole in my iron mountain!

Oooh, I could never eat crumpets after my band, even when it had no saline in!
I was gutted cos crumpets were one of my all time faves (including cakes, crisps, chocolate, pies, sweets, chips, veggie sausages, yoghurts, cheesecake, etc etc.... You get the picture!)

Did anyone find that vegetables are harder to eat now?

Xx

I only have to be careful with potato skins really, most veg I can eat fine but fruit causes me trouble...still can't eat a whole banana...I used to love toasted banana and crunchy peanut butter sarnies once in a while for a weekend breakfast treat but now I can only manage a half a sarnie if that...still yummy though.
