Banders Daily Diet and Exercise Log

Hi All

Having a tough couple of days. Craving something but I don't know what. Feeling very snacky as well. The evenings are very long without food to fill them. I am so used to filling my time eating that I am not quite sure what to do with myself. I suppose it's all part of the learning curve.

I have 4 ml in my band and I do have some restriction - for instance today I had a two egg omelette with 30gms of ham, and some dry fried onion, pepper, courgette and mushrooms and three melba toasts. Not a huge meal but I was definitely reaching the edge of my ability to eat - even though I took it very slowly and chewed a lot.

I suppose it's all part of the learning curve. I am wondering whether to have another fill but worry about not being able to eat enough to satisfy my hunger.

Anyhow - checking in today.

breakfast - yogurt
lunch - egg, bacon (no fat), dutch crispbake
tea - two egg ham omelette with veg and half a pack of melba toast
snacks - pack of baked crisps, ww biscuit, milk drink, 2 rich tea fingers.

1.5 litres water, 74 gms protein, 1085 calories - the most I have had since the band was filled (first time over 1000) and now I am definitely hungry.

Oh - and on a more positive note walked the dogs for an hour today for the second day running. I haven't done that for a long time.

Hun for your current weight , 1000 cals is incredibly low..so it is probably very likely you are genuinely hungry x
I always fill up on loads of veggies with my evening meal as a way to satisfy the hungry in a good way without letting my inner cookie monster spoil my efforts.

I think just make sure you don't allow yourself to get too hungry before eating to avoid choosing the wrong thing out of desperation and see how the weigh in goes.
We can try new stuff between us weekly to make sure we all keep moving the scales the right way x

AND fantastic exercise ! Well done for doing the 2nd day of that

Not a good day for me today ( been poorly with a cold)

Brekkie - Quarter of tin of beans and one slice of mild cheddar cheese ( was yummy)

Lunch 1/4 of mince beef and onion pie, with a fistful size of mash & Liquer ( pie and mash nom nom)

Dinner - None Been sleeping on and off all afternoon.

Drinks , 1 coffee, 1 oxo, 2 teas and water.

I have never really lost consistently on more than 1200 calories a day - whatever my weight. However, I am just trying to get a quick start in and will up my calories to around 1400 after four weeks around 1000. I know that 1000 is not sustainable long term. I think I perhaps need to get a fill to try and combat the feeling of hunger because I think I am doing the rest right. I am focusing on protein, eating slowly - knife and fork down between meals - not drinking 3 minutes before and after meals and getting 1.5 litres of water most days.

Hi all my planned menu today....

BF=30g special k + 50ml s/s milk =134 cals
tea with s/milk =10cals
pear =59cals
2L water upto 12.45pm(will have drunk :))

20 min walk during lunch hour :)
Lunch=ww soup + 2 ryvita =300cals
highlights at 4pm =40cals
Dinner =ww tomato and basil chicken with wedges =249cals
snack=activia snackpot=99cals
snack=snack a jacks=91cals

Total=982cals

Have a good day everyone :D

I think we need to speed up your metabolism Weeble xxxx
It's probably just reset too low for too long.
We'll have to see what happens each weigh in and try and do new things to get the weight going without you being locked in starvation mode x

Thanks for sharing your intake Mix, it's interesting to see how someone maintaining and increasing fitness eats and exercises. Also just goes to show we have to keep challenging ourselves as we get lighter to keep the weight moving.

Looks good Yummy! Are you feeling good on it so far?

I am feeling good. i am full for 3-4 hours after my main meals. but am finding the length of time between lunch and dinner is too long as i feel hungry. eat lunch around 1pm don't have dinner til between 6 and 7pm. this is when i usually have the snack a jacks:D i am averaging below 1000cals per day am constantly thinking am i eating enough but with being full for 3-4 hours between meals where would i fit more calories in :? also have only lost 2lb since fill on 10th march due 2nd fill next wednesday if i do get more of a good restriction i am assuming i will eat less calories again?? will i start losing weight then? sorry i am a bit in limbo and thinking about it too much lol

Just checking in gang! Today I've had around 1100 calories:

Breakfast - milky coffee
Mid morning - small piece of cheese and another milky coffee!
Lunch - Feta cheese salad
W/W lemon and lime mousse
Dinner - Thai red curry and rice (the remnants of the jar I started the other night)
A few peanut M&Ms

Exercise - went on the treadmill and exercise bike at the gym

I think I might be getting my head around this now!

I'm out tomorrow night so won't get a chance to log tomorrow but I'll be at the weigh in on Saturday and keeping my fingers crossed for more than half a pound this week. After 3 weeks of just a half a pound a time I need to see a bit more off this week - I'll be happy with a pound as long as it's not another half!!

Happy Friday everyone and see you at the weekend.

xx

Hey Melly!!! Good to see you are getting your head round it. It's not too bad is it?
Yum peanut M & M s.....I love nuts (well it figures right?)
Ok well done for the exercise too...even if it is only half a pound...it will eventually come off...sometimes it goes in fits and starts but if we don't let slow progress/stalls prevent us from pressing on and doing our bit, we will get those magic weeks where we get some awesome numbers dropping off.

Well done Weeble!! You're doing great and the walking is brilliant. I really hope that you can feel the benefits of that soon x
