Banders Daily Diet and Exercise Log

How many times have you had a fill CC?
...and just blame your hormones for the rest! It'll pass and you'll feel magnificent when you get the control back !! :)

CC where do you go to have your fills and have you asked to see Mr Khan to discuss what is happening. Also do they do your fills under x ray. Sorry for all the questions.

I concur TB, I would be pestering my team to get answers or going to my GP/ changing GP's to try and get some support CC

I gave in and ordered the carb blockers, the ones I found had good reviews so I thought I would give em a bash.
I know I have been overdoing the cheese a bit..I will have to be careful with my lavish tendancies!
The Atkins area on minis is proving useful so I am lurking madly and trying to pick up some tips.
Getting enough water down is still a challenge but definately had more than usual yesterday.

Hmm I wish!!! I am trying to get into ketosisville at the moment, I think I mentioned I'm enjoying my food too much to believe it's going to work!!
I must get off my big bottom and try my zumba game out!
I used to love dancing so hopefully I haven't broken my groove thang after all the years of waddling and couch potatoing

Do you like quorn Karen? Might be good instead of meat. It's low carb also so I am definately going to use it more often

Tranquil, I found this thread on Minimins...Atkins dieters daily menus...I shall be scanning it for ideas!!
What are we eating today? - MiniMins.com - Weight Loss Support Forum
I do like quorn, Dan is a vegi so we always have some. I will eat some!
I don't think I have a groove thang, even when I dance on my own in the kitchen, I feel stupid!
I'm thinking of getting a kinect for the xbox and some fitness games.

I've got tons of wii games for exercise but just buying them and having them delivered is not enough unfortunately!!! I must get it into my head to actually get up and use them!!!!
I am such a slacker! Ironically I used to LOVE dancing and would do tons of it when I was younger either at clubs or in my room after work.
Got all domesticated and just turned into a couch potato! But when I do actually jetison myself off the soft furnishings , I start to enjoy it again!
Being consistant eg doing something every day for more than a couple weeks, is what trips me up a lot!

Today so far

Choc peanut shake (took a couple carb blockers...not too hugemongous thank heavens!)

Atkins dark choc crunch bar

chicken chargrill, broccoli, cauli, little bit mayo & grated cheese

Atkins caramel nut roll bar

I can't remember ... I've had fills and defills. I've taken it very slowly the last year, but now at or at least near my sweet spot. I do think it's hormonal - thats why I'm reticent about my fills because they tend to happen at the wrong time of the month - strange I know. The next fill again is at the wrong time of month. In fact I'm thinking they won't give me a fill because in circa four weeks I've lost about 10Ibs. I'm feeling tight today ... although my appetite is there! (head hunger? - although I'd be surprised as I had breakfast at 5:30am and now about to have lunch .... snacked on 4 ginger snaps in between. Then gym for a work out to gain some energy before hardcore circuit class this evening.

Funnily enough ... I saw Mr. Khan yesterday - he was at the same traffic lights as me lol. No I don't see Mr. Khan - I only see my dietitian.

Alas my GP doesn't want to know. She weighs me every so often when I go see her. Is your GP supportive?

I know you're a busy lady CC, but I would try and get registered with a new GP practise. You can look up which ones in your area are registering new patients here http://www.nhs.uk/servicedirectories/Pages/ServiceSearch.aspx and just go along and fill a form out at reception. You don't have to specify why you wish to change.
Might be worth doing , you could have a really understanding new GP who will make a big difference.
I never go to my docs! Been thinking about it in the past and probably will if I ever lose the rest of my weight to try and pursue the nhs TT route.

CC - text me as I would love to meet up and talk to you face to face. If I can be brutally honest. If I had paid for my surgery and got the after care you have received I would be suing... (there is a big clue for you;)). Sorry but it is not good enough. I do not know the in's and out's but it seems something went badly wrong following your op resulting in you getting rushed into hospital. Since then despite an exercise regime that would put Linford Christie to shame you are still struggling. Either they give you what you paid for or they cough up the cash you paid. I am sick of providers both NHS and private who make us feel that we should be grateful for what they have done for us and if things are not right guilt trip us into believing it is our fault. It is a form of discrimination and not something that should be tolerated.

I am more than happy to help you if you want to start getting stinky with your provider. I really do not think you should suffer any more.

Sorry if I offend you or anyone else reading this. Fighting for justice is what I do for a living and it is something I feel very passionate about.

Hiya, thanks.

Totally exhausted. Meeting today in the middle of nowhere miles from my home, hence 6am start. It was one of the most disgusting things I've ever encountered .... which included a used tampon. I was at the meeting thinking why the hell am I doing this job lol. Must admit, I was the ONLY femail for about a mile around and in the meeting room and I wasn't patronised which was good, but heck I really don't wanna do my job anymore.

ALso went to my gym - had an hour long workout, then met my sister for circuit class at her gym.

Just got home and HAD to eat. I'm exhausted.

TB - we must meet and chat. Not just about me though! ;) I wanna hear about your secretary! Working on Monday though .... will text. xx :hug99:

Ok thanks ! Got some c-plex 60 carb blockers today to see if they help. They're high rated (I did some digging about online) so maybe they will help me. I am going to take one prior to evening meal to help avoid carbs from my veg as it doesn't affect the fibre/vitamins being utilised apparently.
I need to get my bum in gear and exercise consistantly though.
I do feel good in myself and a bit more energetic today.
How are you doing ?

Evening yesterday was a blip....less said the better. Back on it today. Just been to the market and bought lots of veg and salad and I have meals sorted for the best part of the week.

What I have noticed is that my blood pressure readings have gone down a lot in the last few days. It had started to go up and I was wondering if I was going to have to see the doc again - but fingers crossed it seems to be going back down to what it was when I went on to my last change of medication. I am wondering what I was doing that was making it creep up -apart from the daily stresses.

I need to knuckle down and get my head in gear - especially with some exercise.

Have you got your new book yet? It does say cutting the carbs (especially refined) helps the old blood pressure.
Would be great if that is what is happening as a by-product of some weight loss as well !
I am just starting to feel more perky, I think last time I did Atkins I felt the benefits a bit quicker but I guess that was nearly 10 years ago!
I am determined to just keep this as the way I eat now though as I don't want to keep going in circles.
I am not weighing til I am getting strong results from the ketone sticks and doing at least 40 mins a day proper exercise.
I don't think I can take looking at the same weight again every Saturday for a bit!!

The book has not arrived - I am having some problems with Royal mail as two other things I ordered from amazon have not turned up:rolleyes:.

As for not weighing, if it helps then go with it. I am still not going anywhere near the scales but I think I am stalling as cloths are not any looser on me. It will be 6 months on Wednesday coming since I had the op and I feel so much better. That is the big thing for me. It is going to take a long time so I am just going to relax and not get worried about it.

I had my flip out now so I just need to re- focus and get another fill!

I'm sure that will help! Lets help each other get exercising this week! Can you commit to 10 minutes a day?
I think if we can both try and fit in 10 mins, once we are doing it we will often find we do a lot more..trying to promise to do more than that will mean if we can't get round to it we'll be feeling bad about ourselves.
10 mins is not daunting really and when you remove the pressure to do a large amount , you end up doing much more than you expect to because you're not putting yourself under duress...in fact it always ends up being more because I want to do it!

Yep great idea. I have the cross trainer and the wii so will do one of them for 10 minutes a day. It is when i get in from work that I struggle as I just feel so tired and drained. But no pain no gain - so lets do it. Have you tried the zumba on the wii yet?

tranquil x

NO!!! Argh!!
I do want to!
I also have the wii fit plus and it looks great but only use it for weigh ins which is so lazy!
Have the exercise bike set up in the lounge and I do about half hour on it but I don't get on it every day so that has to change. Also have the treadmill in the conservatory and when I get on it (ipod blaring) I do actually love it..listening to all my fave songs and brisk walking for about 30-40 mins but again, I don't keep it consistant daily.
I am changing that next week though because yet again my birthday is looming and I will be the same weight (roughly) as I was last year if I don't stop malingering!!
