Mrs P, maybe the band fill from Monday has now given you the restriction you didn't feel before. I definitely feel far more restricted after my fill on Monday. I am not necessarily eating less, but taking longer to eat and feeling fuller for longer.

B - 3 x wheat crackerbread and peanut butter
S - small piece of children in need chocolate cake
L - low fat greek yoghurt and blueberries (slider food I know, but nutritious) at about 3.30 to keep me going till dinner
D - 2 x quorn sausages (definitely felt restriction as they needed lots and lots of chewing to go through the band); cauliflower, pasta with cheese sauce (special bariatric meal that I got from the states which is really high in protein)

Really really bad day for me yesterday, although my quantities were small my choices were stupid!!
B- none
L - McDonald's chilli chicken wrap
D - 1/4 chapati, 2 tbl spoons veg curry, 2 pieces of chick tika 1/2 popadom

Snack bag of wotsits, 2 pieces of cold bacon. Piece of chocolate.
I'm really mad with myself now :-(

in the grand scale of things was it soooo bad?!!! :)

Just had an m&s count on you Yorkshire pudding that has stewed steak n veg filling...210 cals...was lovely. I had extra side veg but for those who like their ready meals it's worth a shot!!!

@ Jo - that sounds lovely - was the meat soft? I am fine on fish at the moment, but have struggled with meat since my fill on Monday.

Yes lovely and soft!!!not very often I enjoy a ready meal but this one I did...god I'm a lazy cook!!! Have to say tho I can eat any meat, chicken etc do you think more fills I have will change this, as only had one??x

How long ago did u have ur first fill?

This was my third fill. 14ml band - 1st fill 7ml, 2nd fill +1ml, 3rd fill +1ml. Obviously we are all different, but that extra ml has made all the difference for me. Up until that last one, I could eat chicken, pork, lamb with no problems so long as I chewed more than I used to previously. This, I think, is when I really need to concentrate to make sure I eat slower and chew more. After 40 odd years, I need to change my bad habits.

Having said that, I love my band and the weight loss I have had so far. I have watched what I have eaten - rather than relying on the band to do the work for me tho.

Lol..always checking content :) just expected to start struggling but I seem fine so guessing I will be ready for a top up in a couple of weeks afterall....! Don't want to spoil Xmas but don't want to get away with murder either!!! xx

I started checking calories and protein content, because I go out to eat alot so needed to take care to make sure I was eating the right things. I still want to be able to go out and enjoy my food, just be in more control than I used to be, when I was a real porker :)

My fitness pal is great isnt it!?

@ Jo you might find further down the line that you struggle more with meats but as long as you chew and take small mouthfuls you sgould be fine x

Hope so....in a weird sort of way...want the challenge lol x

I totally understand that comment Jo, about wanting to have the challenge! I haven't had any restriction until my last fill and it now feels soooo different. Meat is challenging, chicken is challenging & slowing the whole process of chewing & swallowing is key to eating less IMHO. Restriction is so important even if it isn't the whole story :) Keep going for your fills!!!

B - activia yoghut, blueberries and grapenut cereal
L - tuna and hard boiled egg, apple, radish, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, salad cream
D - chicken, stir fry veg, onion and red thai curry paste, rice crackers
S - banana, latte

Managed 3 1/2 oz of chicken this evening :) Was watching Masterchef Australia this morning and saw someone tenderizing chicken in milk - so I decided to try it out with my dinner. Thinly sliced chicken breast in 50 mls of milk and curry paste for half an hour, then simmered it gently before adding in the veg. I managed the chicken with no bother (and it wasn't slider food because the liquid had all soaked into the chicken and veg . It may just be an old wives tale, but its left me feeling full without the anguish of PBing :wee:

Better day for me today, had to resist a glass of wine!
B - yoghurt & granola
L - 3/4 jacket spud with cheese
D - quorn stir fry
