Well Hope you feel less yucky today CC, weirdly I have been sick a lot yesterday...not stress related but it feels like my band is tighter again.
I will have to keep an eye on that as I wasn't eating big portions compared to before this week.

I spose it's an opportunity for me to have an easier time shifting down a portion size average but something to keep an eye on.

Gaynor I am so thrilled to see that you are happier with your weight loss overall and looking forward to losing some more..let us know when you are getting your defill xx

Just pondering thoughts etc.

I'm just wondering if the dietician was right about my band tightening? (she suggested I don't have one). Especially with the exercise I'm doing I need to pack a few more calories in. Yesterday night highlighted this to me in as much as I went to bed with just a yoghurt (and some biscuits, a protein shake) inside me. Not convinced I even had enough calories yesterday. Having a band tightening would impede me further I reckon.

I can't grasp me being able to eat lots ... may be I'm not eating as much as I think? A sort of food portion dismorphia??? Does that make sense?

Anyhow I hope EVERYONE has a wonderful day ... downwards and downwards :D :woohoo:
 
I definately think you should not have it tighter...you don't want to be running yourself into the ground..exercising and barely getting adequate nourishment is going to cause havoc with your metabolism and make you feel crap.

You also don't wanna be surviving on all sloppy foods..they have their uses but the band works best when we eat the denser healthy foods that take longer to filter down through the band.

You'l be fine. You haven't cheated so hand on your heart you can say your body got rid of as much as it could under the circumstances ... you can't give what you don't have.

thanks hun....chicken stuck....i heard about the whole carbonated drink thing...I think it is meant to make you burp and dislodge things.....if nothing else after a while it would dissolve it i would think.

Hello, Welcome to the group.....might be worth having a read through the whole thread if you have time....we have gone over loads of ideas and info that may be very useful to you. If you have any questions, just ask, most people who have experienced banders are normally really happy to answer.....

Not long got back from my son's assembly.....bless him, he went through the trouble to learn his stuff and then left his bear mask on the whole time...so I didn't even get to see his face.*LOL*

Mazza- I so know what you mean about plughole hair...I am always afraid of pulling up a spider after my shower when I clean the plug out! *LOL* Or I find small bundles in the dryer....of of course the vaccum has loads....OH always gets mad at me about that....but I can't catch every bit of hair that falls from my precious head, now can I?

Well I lost 2 oz...I am not getting anywhere...It is soooooooooooo annoying!! This LCLD is doing s*d all for me....but only 8 more days....then maybe I can have a measured diet and get somewhere....I just don't know how people lose 3-4 stone on it...they must be eating like pigs before hand. That is all I can figure...so of course they will lose that much....but you lot have seen what I eat so I can see why maybe I am not losing what I expected I might.
 
Ok, not sure what you lot think but I have to go see the dietician next thursday, so I was thinking that maybe I should go back onto the semi skimmed milk as of sunday or monday that may...whist it will be slightly artificial, I might lose the last 3-4 lbs in water weight by then since I will on the loo.....maybe just a thought...I don't know....

welcome to the site. I was banded about three weeks ago so still pretty new to me. feel so much better now than I did one week after the op though. just feel like myself again really apart from a bit of pain at my port site.

Does the ridergirls refer to horses? Only ask because I am totally horse mad. I grew up with them and my daughter have one now that we share really.
 
Leesh....I used to have horses when I was younger....Loved riding. Nothing better then on a grey down to just go for a nice long ride...and chill out.

I miss my horses......must admit though...when we got horses...I had all kinds of "friends" from no where...pffft

And does anyone know of a good low carb replacement for spagetti? I can only think of using cabbage but it sounds a bit gross. Any ideas please, craving spagetti but dont want to have it?
 
Ffbb, I know what you mean but we dont let anyone ride him because I just use the excuse that he belongs to my daughters and they need to become a team together. I so miss riding. I get on Apachi occasionally when he is being naughty in the paddock just so I can instruct the girls but I would feel funny going out on long rides on him. Hopefully wont be long now though. He is a big strong boy and will easily carry me when I loose a but more weight. I will put a picture of him on if I can figure out how to do it.

Its a bit off the subject i suppose but weight loss related still as its a big reason for me to loose weight.
 
something else I was thinking about---If I am onlt intaking at the moment just over 900cals a day, and not losing...what is going to make the difference in having the band?

I get what you are saying...there is a riding school not far from me and i would love to go and just get a good ride out, but I am sooooooo heavy I would be carrying the horse instead! *LOL* I did love it....though I had mishapps....twice my horses when out right across some cars....but the first time when when I just picked up a new horse and was riding her back to the paddock...and the other was on a ride out with the family...we had 5 horses at the time..and mine got spooked and took off...scary but fun. But like anything....you have to get back on and ride again as soon as you can so you don't let the fear overtake you.
 
5 A DAY fruit and vegetable portion sizes

I have just printed off and will laminate the sizes and sheets for fruit and veg portion sizes....They also have a chart which is great for marking your fruits and veg per day so you can ensure you are getting enough. Even with the band surely you should still be getting your portions as required?

I am hoping this will help the MIL. ....I do know myself generally how much a portion is with regards to most fruit and veg, but it is always soo to have them handy. I have a little hook next to the fridge which I will hijack and hand my little sheets from so I have them handy.
