Love your menu paula, but am amazed you can manage bread so early on... I have just started having half a slice of toast and it has to be really well toasted for me to be able to get it down. xx

I toasted it :)

Hi chrisa I finish at 5 on a Thursday xxx

I toasted it :)

Ahh that makes sense now lol!!!
Mind you, I still think you are doing really well to be able to tolerate so many different foods so early on. You must feel so much better now you are onto a more varied diet I would think xx

It's a v slow cooked Greek Cypriot dish - usually made with lamb - its delicious made with beef some versions include cheese but I didn't in mine...I did included some black olives instead though

I do feel better. I just think 'I'll give em a go' trying to concentrate on protein more, but I need to add veg. I had quite a varied diet before. Maybe that's why I can tolerate them now. I also don't want to get stuck in a rut of eating the same thing all the time :)

Ohhh that sounds really lovely!! I would also like the recipe please... Do you make a low fat version of it??

Hi all. I'm managing ok food wise out here I'm being far from perfect. It's still a million times better than old holidays but no where near as clean as when I'm at home. 3 bad habits I'm struggling with the waiting golden 30 mins before and after. Sometimes the heat has got the better of me and made me have a drink before I'm meant too. A bit too much wine occasionally and also had some fizz which I have had at home but rarely. I will have to knock it all on the head when I get home! Had a good day food wise today though.
Breakfast - pineapple and boiled egg.
Lunch - half ham sandwich.
Dinner - beef stew and green beans.
Snack - cheese and crackers and grapes. No wine! Lol.

My portion sizes have definitely been bigger here. Still using a side plate and eating about 1/3 to half of what's on that but that is bigger than what I normally have as I'm something I'm super strict on normally. Just trying to find the balance between enjoying it all and not over indulging. Harder than it looks.

70 mins swimming today. So that is good but as much as I'm enjoying my break and having a tan! I'm looking forward to being in control of what I put in my food etc and I know I'll be nice and restrictive when I get home :)

Hope you are well x

So glad to hear you are enjoying your holiday shelleymarie.. was thinking about you today, and wondering how it was going.. You menu today seems really healthy even if you are on holiday, in fact a lot healthier than mine and I'm NOT on holiday lol!! I struggle with the 30 minute rule a lot all the time.. It is so hard to eat and then not be able to wash it down with liquid.. I'm sure lots of other people struggle also...
Enjoy the rest of your holiday and all that sunshine you lucky thing xxx

Beef kleftico recipe:

I use a slow cooker literally throw it all in and leave it hours until the meat cuts with a spoon!!

Lean cut of beef cubed
Beef stock cube
Half tbsp oregano
Three bay leaves
Half pint water
Shallots (about eight)
Three garlic cloves peeled left whole (i use loads more than this)
Teaspoon paprika
Chopped tomatoes (carton x 2)
Packet black olives
Three potatoes cut length ways into wedges

Throw all but potatoes in slowcooker cook for yonks don't season with salt due to that in olives lay potato wedges on top about thirty min before you want to serve and they will cook in the tomatoey paprika juices. I didn't use potatoes this week as I'm cutting carbs this week.

Love kleftico maya, thanks for the recipe will try it when I get home. I'm a huge fan of Greek food so been meaning to come up with some low fat versions. Stifado is my favourite. Would have to do it without the rice and added wine :) x

Doing well paula just keep the fluids going in. xx

Thanks Chrisa. I find it hard to fit it all in. Especially when you have to wait 30mins before and after food. How do you do it? I want to get into a routine before going back to work.
