Hi all from la palma. Making use of my net package. Had a fantastic start to the holiday when I got on the plane and took your advice Chrisa and didn't get a seat belt extension. I didn't need it! Actually had to tighten it. It's been 3 years since I could do that and then I found I could put the table down in front which I've not been able to do since I was 16. Felt amazing. Since being here we had rain this morning but this afternoon it been baking and I've already caught the sun. Lovely island, really recommend it.

Food is hard to know what is in everything and a lot oil used but trying to make good choices and still loging my food and exercise so to not go over board but have of course relaxed a little.

Breakfast - tiny amount of each of the following. Scramble egg, ham, mushrooms and beans.
Lunch - Half a Philadelphia light and ham sandwich.
Not sure what dinner will be but last night a had a little lamb and seafood paella. I dished it up on a side plate but still old habits die hard and I served up far too much. I was finished after a couple of mouthfuls.

I had some wine on the plane yesterday and some crisps today. Trying not to have to many treats but it's definitely harder on holiday. I did manage 80 mins cardio though. Including an hours swim so not too bad.

Hope you are all good x

Good morning everyone!! Haven't posted for a day or two, as have had a very up and down weekend emotionally and physically!! Nice to see you posting again dimond, and almost envy you the dumping session, even though it doesn't sound very nice. I can't seem to find anything that makes me dump which is a bit scary.. Shelleymarie!! you go girl!! You're on holiday, so a few treats are definitely in order, and with all that exercise you are doing will counteract the odd glass of wine or treat... Glad you're having a lovely time, it's just what you needed I'm sure... Chrisa! I'm sorry to hear your tummy is still so painful! Really hope they can find out what's causing it for you soon.. xx

Hi mayamoo

its great to hear that all the hard work is worth it and there is a life at the end of the rainbow. thank you

congrats on all you have achieved so far

Good evening all!! Nice to hear that things are going so well for you maya! and congrats on the weight loss.. You sure deserve it. Dimond, I am same as you, in the respect that sometimes I can eat food that I am sure I shouldnt be able to and also the quantity.. But then I really try to make good food choices, and also stay away from sauces and stuff as definitely can't eat as much of dry food.. I suppose its all a learning curve, but it can be quite worrying at times.. I have definitely tested the boundaries on more than one occasion, and so far haven't dumped at all... I envy you though dimond for being able to eat bread, as I can't cope with bread in any shape or form, not yet anyway...

Hi Amanda I used to miss bread a lot in the early days. I missed just having a sandwich or piece of toast for breakfast. I think I was between 5 n 6 months out when I tried my first piece of toast. It wasnt recommended on my sheet until then as was pasta n rice, al the things which are more difficult to digest. It is very rare I have bread untoasted or it has to be in form of a wrap or thin, or crumpet, muffins are bit stodgy ti digest as are scones. I had toast for my breakfast it wasnt a swell cookes as I like it to be and felt like it had stuck, took me till lunch time to shift it then I got heartburn. Am ok now just had my tea xx

today-

B toasted fruit n fibre bread with spread
S grapes
L carrots, turnip, cabbage, gravy, 1 pudding, mint sauce which gave me heartburn (no more for me).
D plum crumble with small scoop ice cream. Have had 2 punnets of plums for ages which have been quite hard not ripe enough to eat so put them in crumble, delish mmmmm x

water, tea xx
