Debs ramblings about her NHS sleeve...

I was only joking you melon!

No idea how to move it - no idea where to shove it - don't even suggest!!!!!!!!!

Lmao. I think you have to ask a mod to move it. Mazza maybe?

Anyhoo I just gave u 5 stars to make up for my bad behaviour. I wanted to give you one at a time but it wouldn't let me :8855: :D

What a great read Debs!

I've never been to Webbs so may be that's somewhere we could meet up. At least you'll be easy to recognise. Just look for the farting burping classy woman LOL

You're handling recovery remarkably well, these things are always better dealt with while laughing and not sweating the small stuff.

By the way, if my legs were tied down in that way there is a real danger of the operating theatre disappearing via a black hole effect, especially after my 4 children ;)

How long is it taking you to get through a skinny latte..? You seem to be doing so well..

I love your diary, always puts a smile on my face!

Xx

Is it day 8 now? I feel like a confused drunk!!!

Lets hope it is - right

Day 8:

A full 8 hours sleep - woke with my leg hanging out of the bed, my face in dribble and my little dog nudging me. Once again, I assert - I am a classy bird!!!!

My morning routine is fairly routine now - some water on waking, anti bac shower paying attention to the wounds, eat acid tablet, jab the belly, make a milky coffee!

My dog and I have had a good long walk today - I think I am burping/trumping on a 5:1 ratio now - which has to be better for the environment surely?

I feel ok - no pain of note at all now. Well weirdly this afternoon I actually thought I felt hungry!!!! First time since Tuesday 9th June - but I do think I did. Being callous I ignored it for now - but just like Harry Potter's dementers - those hunger swine's are never away for long!

I did my powerpoint and training plan for next weeks work - nice to be distracted.

I argue with the insurance company about my house which is still flood damaged with no oven and huge amounts of mess/disruption - they are coming out on Saturday - more mess.

My follow up appointment has come through - 12th August - so that's something I won't have to chase up.

About to crawl back to bed with a film and the dog for a chill out as my daughter has abandoned me for the day!

Food:
Breakfast: Full mug of decaff coffee - made entirely with skimmed milk, and 2 teaspoons of marvel powder.

Lunch: Half a pot of fresh chicken broth from Morrisons. Strained so no lumps, 50ml of milk and 2 teaspoons of marvel milk power added

Snack: Actimel 0%

Dinner: Nutrica Fortimel Drink - 200ml,200 calories 20 gms protein.

I may have a cup of soup for supper if I feel like splashing out!!!!

Hope everyone is well
:D

Haha, think how much better you'll look legs hanging out of bed, dribbling, but slim!! Now THAT'S a classy bird.

Glad you're doing so well.

Where do you get the Nutrica drinks from..? I might start a bit of a liquid diet..

Xx

Sounds

My ticker days 8 days post op, we should coordinate with something.

They are a prescription thing Claire - but I was also advised to get a Whey Protein - so I go one from Holland and Barrett which is without flavour and I add it to other things - like soup etc.

My dietician said if I am sleeve I could also use slimfast shakes - not so hot for bypassers as high sugar

Hope that helps

Day 9 post op:

I wonder if they actually did the op?

Anyhow - breakfast was an all milk decaff coffee with extral marvel added.

mid morning I had a 0% actimel drink

Lunch time I was out and found a shake type thing at Sainsbury's in the fridge with the milk - called Up Beat Blueberry and Raspberry Dairy Drink. It was 250ml, 146 calories and 20gms protein. Seemed like a good fit and it was super easy to drink.

Mid afternoon - an asparagus cup of soup - scary 130 calories but 3 gms protein and I added marvel to that also.

Supper was chicken broth - home made and thin.

Overall 650 calories and plenty of liquid.

All meds and jabs sorted without any event. I don't actually mind the ones that melt in the mouth. The Adcal is tutti fruit flavour and its like a love heart sweet in my head - the lansoprazole isn't hard to digest and a swing of water disperses it super fast!
Its not a problem for me to eat and drink as long as I do it mindfully and don't gulp.

I don't feel full but I don't feel hungry - I just eat as instructed.

I do crave some flavour - I feel denied variety of flavour but I am cool with it as I quite like the fact everything is so different and it marks my new start and my new attitude to being kind to me.

I went for coffee again today. I then visited the friend who had taken me to hospital and rewarded them with wine! Popped in to Sainsbury's on the way home and then started the ironing.

Even I feel this is to much like normal!!!!

Hope everyone is good.

Hey Op-buddy

Looks like another hood day for you. The upbeat sounds interesting, what was the consistency like compared to an actimel drink?

Know what you mean re flavour, we have more choice in next stage for that. Boring what,
Hugx

It was not as thick as a smoothy by any means but a little thicker than milk?

I know bypassers have to be more wary over sugar - so it may be a sleeve/band ok but not bypass ok? I don't know enough about what to look for sugar wise for bypassers - so not endorsing as such. Its just nice to walk to the fridge when shopping and find something!

Heres some info

My guidelines are.

Stage 1 says 14 days to one month

Stage 2 pureed is 2 to 3 weeks

Stage 3 soft food from from the second month, taking minimums ahead.

Key is slowly slowly, slowly introduce stuff. If the change doesn't suit go back to previous stage a little longer.

Ill be trying the puree come Wednesday :)

God girls that IS a long time.....but so with it and think of all those pounds dropping off. Kate moss eat your heart out ;-)

I cannot see Kate Moss trembling for a while if I am honest!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt she has ever been 120 lbs in her life never mind trying to lose that amount!!!!

Still some elements of the gorging to get to 19 stone were a blast and I can't say I didn't do it for long enough - being so big for so long has been me

Indeed I am actually looking forward to not having to have a larger than life personality, telling jokes and being self deprecating and can simply sit in the corner and blend in!!!!!!!

Some dream eh!!!!!!!:8855::bliss::bliss:

How's my op-buddy doing? Still farting and burping with class ? :8855:
