Great to hear youre feeling better marcus. We have to have 2 weeks luquid then 2 weeks puree then 2 weeks soft. Every hospital are different ive found!

Further 2lb loss on yesterday so thats 5lb in 8 days. Slower than I thought but apparently I also had adhesiolosis surgery for previous surgeries so now I understand why I was so swollen and inflamed when my fb friends wondered if theyd even had it done!

Was sitting around from 7:30 til 13, ( was supposed to be I'm at 11) in my gown and socks, when I was called into a room to be told my op had been cancelled, no hospital beds I'm so gutted, burst into years, cldnt get my words out. Just dressed back in my civi's and waiting to be picked up from hospital. I think my heart and head has just shattered as have got so close to be turned away. No idea of new date no idea if going to be this year. Just got told to wait for a call either today or tomorrow

Oh no thats terrible mighty, I think its cruel when we go through what we do to that point. Its like this everywhere, someone was cancelled on wed at my hospital for same reason, they said they were having to turn even cancer patients away and thats terrible!

Sorry to hear this. I hope you can get a revised date soon. Have you been told to stick with the pre-op LSD?

Oh no!!! I do feel for you! Why didn't they say that sooner before they built your hopes up! I would be so upset also! Did the other woman have her op?? So sad for you. But you know what TODAY wasn't meant to be for any other reasons! Who's knows. You will get your op! Hopefully sooner than you think! Please try and lift your self up and think it will be soon! Well I've had some better news today (which is no comfort for Just + Mighty), they're doing my surgery on the 31st December after all. That is unless it gets cancelled because of bed availability which is a v real possibility at the moment. So starting the LSD tomorrow after a few days of truly appalling eating, so I'm actually ready for it!

I was having mine yesterday also but as you exactly the same happened yo me I was 1st on the list seen surgeon etc waiting to be called and....no cancelled no beds, like you I was inconsolable yesterday im in Portsmouth hospital so this is country wide its not good enough when we have had to prepare for so long. My heart goes out to you mighty.

hi Val im so sorry to hear also! I think its all the admissions of the noravirus etc!
Plus some wards have had closers also due to that. I know its no excuse as i can just imagine your anguish! Sorry to hear that! But your time will come just enjoy Christmas and see what happens! Wont be long! X

I have just had a call from the hospital and I have been rebooked for Monday 22nd I cant believe it whether I am dreaming or in shock I don't know, here is hoping it wont get cancelled again I just hope all the people that have been cancelled recently get there call soon.
Many thanks for your kind words I now hope not to have Christmas dinner if that makes sense.

It makes perfect sense.
My Christmas dinner might be a few spoons of soup or a cup of Bouillon. I did contemplate liquising a whole turkey but that could be hard work and it would last a very very long time.
