Gosh you look great in a month well done to you. I am back to theatre tomorrow to get the bag puss ( or pus wound bag) all watched out inside. Much happier now have a picc line. Very nauseous this weekend and not much appetite. Also very tired so they have checked my bloods. Determined to be home by end next week so going to start them making a plan xxx
Keep going all of you, you are all doing so well xxx

Pain is... Weakness leaving the body... Cheers and Regards... Kaps
Been down to theatre at 5.30 had wound washed out and packed with betadine dressings. Was in such pain after lots of morphine. Got to go back in morning and have it done again. That will be my 4th visit in 3 weeks.
Thanks mouse, been back to surgery today for another wash out and they have stitched wound although is still pouring through dressing. Pain much better controlled today, I think as I cried to the theatre staff.
Well all set for home today, picc line out. I have lost 1 and a half stone since admission on 23 Feb! Wound packed with lots of dressings. So excited to be going home. If I could I would do a little dance but I can't!!! Xxx
Been to clinic this morning. Surgeon is happy with progress in that blood results are better and inflammatory markers coming down. Another week of strong antibiotics and then they will decide if I need more or can stop them. Will have had 2 weeks IV in hospital and 2 weeks tablets at home.
Have lost a stone and a half since surgery!
Struggling with puréed diet so advised to have slim fasts for the protein content.
He says may feel this exhausted for 6-8 weeks and that it's not surprising after what's happened to me.
1 drain out today, 1 more to come out in a few weeks!
Felt emotional and stressful going back to the hospital where it all went wrong.
Feels good to be home now though! Just tired and cold!
