Is it lunch time yet?

Ok so after a false start last week my friend that got cancelled is now in surgery as we speak. I'm so excited for her as she's been trying to get help as long as I have bless her. Rather nerve wracking for her as her youngest is just 3 and it's the first time she has ever left him over night. :)

Wow that's great news love!!! Hope she does fantastic!! X

It may seem odd but please can anyone that's had gall bladder removed please tell me if they could eat less afterwards? I have no pain from the op site at all and no pain when I have eaten just the odd sensation of only managing two or 3 forks/spoonfuls. I'm not complaining I just hadn't heard of it before. I have eaten very little since my op but this has at least halved the amount. If so does it return to normal afterwards? Xx

Hi Cupid

Darren's mum had her's out, and she couldn't eat for a while plus feeling sick up to an hour after food.
Doctor said it could take up to 6 to 9 month, to start eating properly again.
Plus you have to be careful, with fat and spicy foods.
Plus the WLS operation on top with smaller stomach, won't help the eating.

Have you had a good day today, and very well done on the weight loss. Looking good for Egypt.

Really pleased your friends doing well, now her journey will begin. Happy times ahead.

Take care, have a lovely weekend.xxxx

Hi Cupid, I had mine out years ago and after recovery the only thing I couldn't eat was iceberg lettuce it repeated on me like cucumber. I also even now ( well not since this op) craved fatty foods like a big fry up. But I would suffer for it but it was like a pregnancy I had to have it but always suffered afterwards. I then for years suffered with a thing called salts diarrhoea. It's like a build up of all the fats you've eaten and you have no control over it when you need to go you have to go and God help anyone who got in my way. There was no warning but I have to say since this op I haven't had that I can only assume it's because of the new plumbing. You should be able to eat anything you want now. It might be because your insides have had two operations close together and just as you've recovered from the one your been poked again with keyhole surgery. It is only early days and font forget you were not 100% up and running with Food and drink so just take it easy. It will all fall into place soon. :)

Most I have eaten and finished in a week and really chuffed with myself. Also spent most of the day on my bed...well apart from shopping and whilst swanning around the store with my trolley doing the job I trust nobody else to do and Yep just my luck saw my doctor. 3 times I changed aisle trying to avoid him and quickly shot to a till hoping I could get out without being seen only to have him choose out of 21 tills to pull his trolley to mine then hubby says "well I did tell her not to come" he looked at me sternly and said I can and will make you listen so I expect to see you in the morning with a large grin on his face

ahhh haaaa caught red handed LOL its about time you started taking doctors orders hunni..... you need R&R right now.... am sure the family can be trusted just this once.... the more you keep doing the slower your recovery ..... its about time you started putting yourself at the top of the pile!! glad your starting to eat a bit more.... its no wonder your under the weather with such a small intake :( keep at it all will fall into place soon x x x x NOW rest woman :)

Yes you naughty woman if you don't start putting yourself at the top of the list you won't be any good to man nor beast now behaviour yourself or I'll have to find out where you live and sort you out lol but on a serious note rest makes you better and it's not a lot of time to rest and get better. You have a holiday that you want to enjoy which isn't going to happen if you don't rest, you've had to major operations like we need to tell you in under a year and I'm not being rude but your not as young as you might think which unfortunately does not help, any of us because we don't bounce back. Pleas rest and take it easy, after all there's always McDonald's lol :)

Sweetheart you are doing amazingly :) just put those blooming feet up LOL x x x x x xx x huge hugs winging their way down that rainbow x x xx

spent most of my day in bed today as just me and my dogs at home. Seems things are starting to settle down and doctors pretty pleased so far apart from my wander around the shop but very very tired and not sure why when all I'm doing is resting. Anyway still doing as I'm told so should pan out in the end thank you for the vibes hun they are doing the trick. Huge hugs :) xxx xxx

Glad to hear your resting up, your tired because you are not eating enough, I'm the same I could keep on a washing line, I can hardly keep awake in the afternoons at work we have cut the amount of flue we are taking in so we're on a go slow but we still try to do the same things day in and day out and it's a bit of a killer. The same goes for recovery your down on fuel so it will take you longer. Hope you get lots of rest, I know it boarding for someone who's active but enjoy it it's not for ever. :)
