March 2014 Surgeries

Just had a phone call saying my date is changed. I panicked. But when I asked her the second time for the date it's only the following day - 28th fri March. :) phew!!! Also instead if being there for 12 noon it's now 7.30am so will have to leave at 6am. In a way quite pleased as hopefully if all goes to plan will be out the same day :). Gosh this is up and down and I've not even started my journey on the other side yet :/.

Heart in mouth moment LOL glad its not been pushed too far back :) early start could be home same day, same as i was lol :D
 
Yes that's what I'm hoping although wouldn't mind a bit of pampering ;). Oh well. Early start means no time to think on the fri :)

gl Leeds hun :) its an odd kind of calm that comes over you, i think its knowing its got to be done, and its last chance to get our lives back. OH 's will be fine guys, it just takes awhile for their heads to get round it lol especially if there not overweight too...... my OH was worried for me and worried about life after op, think they mourn for the things they will no longer be able to do, ie; meals out, treats etc my OH mourned for the time we would miss out on :rolleyes: but its fine lol were now back to eating our meals together and making plans to eat out, its more about quality now rather than quantity so bring on them nice restaurants now lol

oh i've waffled again lol gl to all so far on pre op........wont be long now x x x

that's so weird I am the same sniffle sniffle I've been panicking like mad aswell even had my blower for lung capacity out worried that much checking I can blow over 300 lol worried sick they wont do op just been having some vick on my feet for bed and some paracetamol with at least 3 litres of water no cough now thank the lord just a nose like a river and its all clear liquid (sorry for if its too much info) I am hoping in a few days it will stop its been like this pretty much all the week I've been doing my milk diet! xx
 
Hi all

I am now officially a bander I was done yesterday at Dolan Park and now just trying to cope with the trapped wind and very strange and painful shoulder pain.

After all my worrying and tears everything went ok this is the first day of the new me. I lost 1 & 1/2 stone pre op so can't wait to really get going now.

Good luck to all of you who are getting banded soon even though I am struggling a bit today I already now I made the best decision. X

well, i started the dreaded milk diet today, not too bad but i cant bloody stand yogurt.......its official! lol

Means to an end means to and end is my new mantra! I havent really got a sweet tooth so having to deal with yogurt and fruit all day is hard for me. I crave savoury...... anyway I wasnt look forward to my vegetable soup as i didnt think it would 'hit the mark' but i decided to stick two fresh chillis in it to spice it up.......... bloody gorgeous :)

I think tomorrow I am going to have a milky coffee in the day as well as my fruit and yogurts to get something warm in as it wasnt happening today. too much cold milk and juice.

Well thats me for now, roll on nine days time...... xx

Toadie...it'll b our turn next week...omg can't believe ot. Good luck to all 4 get new lives this week.. it will b worth it for us allx

not doing too bad. On day 12 of 800 cals. Had a very bad night fri, had a couple of drinks after a manic week at work and ate a packet of crisps and something else, can't remember exactly lol. But back on it today and will weigh again on Thurs morning and let you know. I did panic tho when they rang re changing the date. My worst nightmare, but luckily only to the next day. So cannot wait for this. Bring it on!!! I'm also looking forward to reading everyone elses diaries on here to see how theyre getting on and try and pick up any tips. Drank two litres of water today but bit of a headache now so think i will have an early night, then another day closer :) x

I'm sure all will be fine hun..... don't panic :D we were talking about streaming noses on the feb thread..... seems some of us still have a river nose after the op too!!!! very odd lol

whop whop congratulations hunni :D rest now and get plenty of fluids. i found wind eze the best for the wind and sleeping on a hot water bottle. Once your up moving around it will shift itself. I think my worst day for wind pain was day 4 then it got better quickly x x x

Thanks slimby just seen anithesatist (sorry spelt wrong) and awaiting nurses and surgeon now....

I'm so relaxed and ready to go now.. Not stressed at all
