Message to Myself ... diary to remind me where I have been and where I am going

What timing! Glad you're okay now and that they sorted it nice and quickly.

Oh Michelle, you don't do things in half do you! Recover well xxx

Oh Michelle, as ever, pushing yourself hard far too hard too soon....I'd never do that lol :D awful experience....and what a catastrophe all round but main thing is the end result and that you're sorted? Now this time, rest rest and rest, and do as youre told....just for once! Don't suppose they'll hang fire to give you another stab at the interview? X

You know what though ... I did rest, not lift or exercise ... So I was a very good girl :) ... I am going to use my sick note to take the rest of this week off as I am still attached to a drain, then being shipped off to supervision of In-laws for a few days. First time in 24 years of working, I have ever taken time off as sick. Boo hoo. send me positive vibes ... I am going to pick up the phone today to speak to my interviewer ...

Michelle keep resting and all the best of luck with the interviewers. Xxx

Was supposed to be having drain removed today ... But it's still doing its job taking away fluid to reduce the risk of infection, so have to go back to Dolan Park on Sunday instead now. While the risk of complication in surgery is quite small, i am sooooo pleased I had op in uk, rather than overseas. Cannot praise hospital enough for all the extra effort they are having to put into me. Off on two hour drive shortly to Manchester to Inlaws for pampering for next few days. No news on interview :( but if I am off sick, I suppose they won't disrupt me ... Here's hoping :cross:

Hi Flutterby how u feeling and did you manage to speak to your interveiwer .

Thanks for asking Mimi. I am pleased drain was not removed yesterday. 9pm last night and I bled loads. The drain needle must have shifted and hit a pocket of blood that had been lurking. Was very scarey. I am not used to this being ill malarky, particularly as i dont really FEEL ill. Re interview, I have been told to expect a call early next week ... But aparently the impression I gave before I fainted twice and had an exploding chest was positive LOL ... :D

Hi flutterby -Im obviously not laughing at you - but only you could only make a joke out of what could only have been a horrible situation lol - Good Luck for when they call x

hope it goes well with the phone call and i hope things settle down and get better very soon.

Back to Dolan again at lunchtime to see consultant mr paganelli. I am hoping that i will be walking away without the plastic bottle and drain in my designer handbag today :) 2lbs lost this week, which I am not going to record as a loss, as its unwanted and will hopefully be regained shortly. If all is ok today, in another week I will be able to start eating garlic again ... Then a couple of lovely cheesy lasagnes should help

Fingers crossed I will be back at work tomorrow :stickdance:

Garlic thins the blood which is no good when I need it to stop flowing. Likewise my notes said to specifically avoid Chinese food .... Not sure why tho  I am getting nervous now, I am feeling like an old granny at the moment having to rely on everyone else around me as I cannot lift, exercise, drive ... Arghhhh

You'd think I'd know that working in an operating theatre! Maybe with the Chinese food they add a lot of garlic and lots of MSG never good! Things will get better soon hun you need time to heal xx

Mmmmmm MSG no good for me anyway...keeps me awake all night.

I don't envy your job...all that blood...I am in awe of the medical profession and what you do
