my hospital experience

went to doctors and she gave me antibiotics for 7 days. I started taking them yesterday and feel a bit better:) Went and did the shopping today and had soup in the cafe. I feel really good but get tired so quickly...probably due to no "real" food. I can walk a lot further now without before needing a rest though which is glorious really.
The depression I felt the other day is gone now. I spent all day yesterday just relaxing and reading and when I woke this morning I wasn't feeling sad at all. I guess I do have a lot on my plate at the minute and it just sometimes gets me down.

I hope all of you are doing well and have had a good day:)

Just had a really emotional week. My coworkers (a couple of them) have been nasty and said they're tired if hearing about my surgery. Made me sad..... and just having to wait for my call every day. Finally I'm feeling better and excited to get this going! I had my preop appt today with the dietician and the nurse practitioner. It's really starting to feel real! I start my liquid diet on Monday. I'm super nervous for that! I don't know what I'd do without all of you! I'll catch up soon!

Rise above it hunni , they prob jealous cos they have no life to talk about .
This is important to you , stay strong xx

I am new to this post and i started my pre op diet the 13th dec and had my bypass the 30th dec and got weighed last week i had lost 3 stone all i can tell you is ignore what anyone says most think surgery is the easy way out if only they knew the truth liquid diet is hard work i myself have been on liquids now since 13th dec and can tell you will search for something liquid that tastes different lol even my dog when i feed him his food smells nice lol does take alot of will power but stick with it as the benfits are great dont be scared of surgery its easy you will not know anything about it .

Oh and i had open bypass not keyhole and everyone is different after surgery i was fine my drips was off next day and was out on the bank holiday monday but did feel sick for a few days after but that goes away best of luck to all and Vikib glad everything is going well .

I have a horlicks made with milk at night and must admit i had cupasoups tomato on my pre op with my oxo and milk and surgeon was very happy with my diet efforts .

Oh sweetie! People are so mean sometimes. To be honest I think those types like seeing others miserable. You are going to be fabulous, slim, happy. They are jealous you are making your dreams come true. ((hugs))

Ha Ha, I know exactly what you mean about the dog food! When I was on my 4-week liquid stage, I was getting very peeved that my dogs were eating better than I was!!

Re the depression. I also suffered from it post-op. Well, I guess it wasn't proper depression, but I felt very down at times. The recovery period seemed endless. However, I'd like to reassure people going through it that it really DOES get a lot better once you get onto 'proper' food again. It helps that you can start to eat the same food as the rest, albeit in much smaller portions!

Try to keep your eyes on the big picture - the future is good!!

Liz.

Sorry I haven't posted today. My iron syrup made me so sick today I have just been laying around trying not to throw up. I made a tea and feel a bit better now. Think I'm going to have to tell them I need an iron tablet instead of the syrup because it always makes me feel sick though today is the first time it did all day.
I hope you are having a better day today Melani. I also hope the rest of you are ok and had a good day.
Much Love

I must say though, that my husband sometimes gets fedup with me going on about my surgery, so I do think we have to be aware that not everyone is as obsessed about WLS as we are!
