My journey starts here..

Just had a Sainsbury's Basics salmon cottage pie.

It's one of the yummiest things I've ever eaten!!

The OH did point out though that after two weeks on liquids, a turd on a plate would probably be quite nice.

I like mushies, can I stay on them? :D

Now what I want you to do...is, in as much detail as possible describe the taste, texture and anything else...so I can look forward to it..;)
Im sooooooooooooooooooooooooo wanting Mushies!!!!!:D

I actually lolled at turd on a plate! Its funny cos its true :D

I discovered these little pots of mash from Asda when i was on mushies and got quite into them, theyre only 90 cals and come with roasted onion or Broccoli & cheese. I got in loads of M&S cottage pie type things as I usually love them but seem to have gone off the texture since the Op  Luckily the lad soon scoffed them :D

Glad you are enjoying the mushy stage, it is blissful after soup, yoghurt and more soup lol xx

It is definitely bliss! The only thing is, I'm thinking of food more than ever, I'm drooling at the thought of cottage cheese for lunch tomorrow hahaha.

I've also got humous and taramasalata to eat at some point.

Val, you have all this to look forward to, I can't spoil it for you! I never thought a microwave fish pie could be so damn good.

Only if its pureed! Lol

Cheesy omelette again tonight, just so delicious.

I'm really trying to eat slowly, but it sometimes gets stuck, even with an empty band!

This is going to be a hell of a learning curve, I will need to slow right down and eat smaller mouthfuls when I'm back to proper food.

I'm enjoying Weetabix with skimmed milk for breakfast, but I'm eating weird stuff for lunch because I'm a bit stumped on to what to easily eat at my desk. Today I had a pot of cottage cheese, a smoothie and an Actimel :-/

Sounds like your getting the hang of it. Glad ur enjoying y our foodxxx

On mushies, my lunch tended to be leftovers from the night before - mash and tuna, corned beef hash, tinned ravioli, cauliflower cheese... I don't have a way to heat food up at work so it's a bit odd to have them cold!
I ate some very odd combinations but after 5 weeks of liquid (3 weeks pre-op, 2 weeks post) I didn't care:)

TINNED RAVIOLI.

Oh boy, never thought of that - thank you!

I'm not sure about all that stuff cold though, we do have a microwave upstairs at work but I don't have time to use it!

I think this is part of why I eat too fast, I'm always too busy.

Asda do mini tins of ravioli, tortellini and something else I can't remember in their kids stuff range, and they were a godsend. The chicken flavour one is a bit... Snotty, but the others are great. Tinned Bombay potato was good too - and that's a sentence I never thought I'd utter!

Hi banderbird I always seem to have an issue with cheese omelette getting stuck no matter how slowly I eat and how much I chew - can't eat scrambled eggs either :(

Had a hair cut today, feeling good - getting a bit hungry between meals but it doesn't take much to fill me up.

I'm still struggling with what to eat for lunch, there aren't many easy options. I just had a small tin of cold baked beans and a mini Philly light lol. Nice but weird.

I'm going to plan my meals for the next week. Breakfast and dinner aren't a problem, just lunch at work!

Another week and a bit. I've bought a collection of weird stuff for lunches hehe.

Used up my last two eggs and had another cheese omelette for tea, but I think I'm going to struggle with eggs in future. Oh well.

I must say, I kind of like the band the way it is now.

I'm eating WAY less than I did. I had my cheese omelette at about 8 last night, and that was it, didn't want anything else all night.

Two weetabix with skimmed milk is plenty for breakfast, and a light lunch lasts me all afternoon.

It's restricting me, but not *that* much - but there's no way I'd attempt a big meal. I don't feel very hungry and that's just what I wanted.

I realise it's because everything is still settling down, but I'm hoping the fills will take me to kind of the level I'm at now, with maybe just a tiny bit more restriction.

I'm starting to really like it!
