Slimpip's Sleeve Jan'14

Hey all, just a quick one tonight. Lost 1lb, meh could be better but a loss is a loss. It does mean I've lost 60lbs which is pretty awesome. Absolutely determined to be in the 17's next week...need a 2lb or more loss. Fingers crossed! X

You're doing so well! Good for you xx

Well done slimpip! Still a loss! Good luck with getting your 2lb next week, I'm sure you'll make it into the 17's :) xx

Thanks everyone, yeah it's not the biggest loss but it's going in the right direction. It's nice actually, because I am eating quite normally and still losing...so I know I need to crack on and refocus but at the moment I'm happy just to be losing at all.

Yey go Kirsty xxx

congrats on the loss again pip doing well keep it going

Thanks Adele. I'm aiming for a better loss this week, it's looking good so far...but only time will tell!

Yesterday was a good day. My other halfs' sister and brother in law have been married for 10 years, but when they got married, they could only afford a very cheap ring for him (they spent the money on hers). So yesterday, as a surprise for her hubby, she invited the vicar along (who retired years ago), she'd bought him a proper nice wedding ring and the vicar performed a blessing. The look on his face was priceless, surrounded by all of their friends and family and kiddies. Beautiful. I also find BBQ's quite an easy social event to manage with this surgery...lots of meat which is ideal. I ate chicken legs and thighs, yummy!

Then, in the evening we went to see Matt Richardson at Hereford's Courtyard theatre (he is the Xtra Factor presenter, but also a stand up comedian). The show was amazing!! We laughed and laughed, but by the time I got home I was cream crackered (common theme at the moment) so went straight to bed.

Still losing a LOT of hair, surprising my hair still looks good. What will I do if it thins too much? Shave it off? Lol, doesn't bear thinking about. X

sounds like fun was had by all thats great when things happen as a surprise doing the same thing next week hubbys b/day so bbq for the family got 2 of my 3 kids coming over

I feel ya with the hairloss! I lose bunches and bunches every morning and expect to see bald patches any day now. :( I don't want to have to shave it, but I refuse to have bald patches. I don't know what to try!
Glad you had a great time! That must have been really special to witness. :)

Was just saying to my husband this morning that my hair is starting to feel thin. The amount of hair I'm losing is unreal. Luckily I have or should now say had really thick hair so it doesn't look thin to other ppl but I really notice it myself. How long does the hairloss go on for? I don't want bald patches either! Xx

I have no idea hun, from what others have said on here it really varies. For some it's just a couple of months, for others a year or so. If I carry on losing as I am now...if it lasts a year I can't imagine having any left! I am lucky also as I have very thick hair, but i'm losing it around the hairline and no have baby tufts :(

Yeah the BBQ was really special, I got all choked up for them haha. Soppy bugger x

I did my first day of c25k. Oh my lordy my lungs are crying, but I did it to the letter, never stopped and I feel really proud of myself. Jenna, how do you have it so the stats appear on here like they do on Map My Run? It's funny to look at, because I live right behind a running track (how taunting), so the route is the walk to the track, then round and round and round, then back to my house. Haha, ohwell...I'm going to make a boiled egg to celebrate. I really am very chuffed with myself. X

That is amazing!! So proud of you! Lungs will be babies for the first few times, but then they should just suck it up. ;) Not sure how to put the stats on this site... is there an option in map my run that allows you to 'share'... if so that might give you a link you can add to the posts here.

Good thinking, I'll have a look. Thanks hun...I'm getting sad now...because when I do something like this...I wanna tell you first lol. WLS bestie! x

I am, I really am. Long way to go obviously, but it was starting that was really stopping me. I've started now, so there's no limits (except lung capactiy lol) x

Haha yeah I read somewhere that we normally breathe from our chests but when running to breathe from your tummy. So usually when your breathing it's your chest that rises and falls so when you take a deep breath in your stomach should expand not your chest so concentrating on making my stomach go out instead of my chest has helped me thru some days too xxx

Yeah...good advice! I'll work on that next time x

Congrats pip great start to exercised life you should be proud its another hurdle over come
