Slimpip's Sleeve Jan'14

As a very random idea, I asked Guy (the OH) to weigh the massive bags of cat litter we buy (it was in litres which threw me off). So I got him to stand on the scales and weigh in lbs, then get back on holding the bag. It weighs 38lbs. I have lost 60lbs, meaning that in 16lbs time (minus what i've already lost this week) I will have lost 2 of these huge bags. I cannot describe how amazing it feels to put it in real terms like this, I implore anybody who reads this, to please go and do the same, and upload your photos so I can see!

I feel as if I wouls struggle to carry one of those 100metres, it's that heavy, and I've lost almost two of them. How on earth were we coping before? And how chuffing motivating is it to see it come off like this? X

Oh wow it's really amazing to see or like that isn't it!! Wish I had something as big as that to measure it against!! Not sure how many bags I've lost poss 2 n a little bit but by the looks of it I'd struggle carrying one of then also. Wow!! Think of all that stress on our joints knees etc xxx

That's amazing!! Excellent idea as well! Well done!! :)

I know Laura, it's crazy and ridiculous that we used to carry that around, I can't explain how heavy it felt. To think you've lost over two of them, that's astonishing.

Thanks Jenna, I do occasionally have a good idea, enjoy it though, it's rare hahahaha.

I'm feeling pretty buzzing today I must admit, I've had an ok diet day and burnt 350 odd cals jogging, so overall I'm feeling good. Hoping for a 3lbs this wednesday, keeps going up and down but we shall see :) X

That is such a good idea!!! Cant wait to see more pictures like that!!! Btw, congrats!! You are doing amazing!

Thanks hun! Means a lot :) xxx

It's astonishing isn't it when you look at tangible things that weigh what you've lost. I realised I have lost more than what my 11yr old weighs. I couldn't piggy back her round the living room never mind carry that weight all day every day.

Actually now you've put it like that I've lost 2 of my 4 year old sons and I struggle to carry 1 of him for any longer that 2 mins haha. Wow feels great putting it into real life things xxx

fab idea though our cat litter bags are tiny shes an outdoor cat only has litter for if and when shes in lol might have to call see how much the grandkids weigh and use them to compare

It's Wednesday, so weigh day...-2lbs this week. I'm so happy because it brings me under 18st, but I'm slightly gutted because it was going to be a -3 but my body decided to play silly *******. I am right on the cusp of TOM, so I'm hoping it's just my body retaining water or something.

I'm 17st something, whoooooop x

That's amazing well done :) xx

Woohoo!! TOM is always messing things up... ;) Hope you have an amazing day!

Brilliant pip 2lb loss is good! It's great when we get into new stone brackets isn't it. TOM is a bloomin pest xx

Well done Pip! Don't know if you remember but we had op the same day. I had a bypass and am 63lbs down from start of pre-op (22 stone). We're doing about the same which is reassuring. Weight loss has slowed for me to 1-2lbs per week. Occasionally 3lbs usually after TOM. What size clothes are you in? I'm still a 22 but starting to squeeze into the odd size 20. I'm 5ft 6. Keep up the good work!

fab news for another loss pip doing well

Thanks Sharie, yes of course I remember. Oh yes that does make me feel quite good that we've lost the same amount. Where are you hoping to get to? I have my goal at 14st4...I'd like to be less than that, but I'd be happy there I think. It would put my bmi as 28, which I think is ok. x

Funnily enough I have a goal of 14stone by Xmas! I'm getting married on the 20th December and have bought 2 wedding dresses on eBay! One's a 16 and one's an 18. Depends which one fits by then! Am loosing about 1/2 stone a month so should hopefully make it fingers crossed!

Aww how lovely Sharie...congrats on your getting married!! You'll treasure those photos forever because you'll look smokin' haha.

Just completed c25k week 1 day 2. It was 6am and raining, but I did it! It was fine, just have sore feet!!! Might need to get some padded insoles for my trainers (I have very high arches and instep so my weight goes on heels and balls of feet only, ouch). Other half came with me, he obviously made me run faster because I covered a lot more distance. Feel much better than after day 1, no wheezing or coughing, this can only be a good thing. And...I've stretched today, I can't go through that thigh stabbing pain again lol. Stats to follow x
