Oh yes ... Really want to be skimnier than my sister ... She was always the thin one and I the chubby, obese one.

Yes, my sister, she was always the one my parents would make comparisons with & I was made to feel inferior in all ways. Don't like gloating but I'm now quite a bit thinner than her yabhoo sucks :p :kissass::massmoon: ... I must not gloat I must not gloat I mu.....

I know but I feel guilty because for her it must be awful. I can only hope that she takes inspiration and sorts herself out now while she can.

Anyone tried the 5.2 diet?
 
5 days of eating normally 2 days fasting (500 cals) apparently it's the business! But ones person's normal isn't another's! lol
 
I've heard good things. I would worry about binging on my fast days.
 
I currently doing that now if im honest! all this is pre op but I don't go mad over the weekend but I do treat myself normal a cream cake but only the one !
 
You eat normally but within reason for a few days then drop to 500 calories for one day then eat normally for a few days then drop again.the days don't have to b together.
Veggy soup is good to have on the low days but just wondered if it was working for anyone.
 
My band wouldn't cope with so little on the fast days. I get awful wind pain if I eat to little or too infrequently. I sort of did the opposite to 5.2 diet when I was losing my weight best at 2-3lbs per week Mimi. Five days c 900-1000 calories a day, and then the remainder two boost days on c 1700-1800 a day, giving me an average of c 1100-1200 calories a day over the week.

Are you thinking of giving it a go?
 
I'm not sure all I no is I'm working my butt off running and I'm having 1200 cals a day and I haven't lost a thing in 3/4 wks .
 
Have you tried to mix up your workout? Do a spinning class or yoga or HIIT. Plus you need to add weight training - muscle burns more calories than fat when sedentary - plus muscles keep you from looking flabby. My trainer says that dieting makes you look good clothed, lifting makes you look good naked :p When you run/lift make sure your heart rate stays in the 60-85% zone so you are burning fat... If you're running you might be higher and in the cardio zones. Hope this helps.
