Gastric Balloon Any ballooners out there? Support needed!

Food poisoning. I think I might die. Never been so ill in my life. Thank God for the hubbs who's been dumping/cleaning my barf buckets. Blergh.
 
Food poisoning is the pits...had it once ...jeez, was nearly hospitalised with dehydration - hope yr on the mend x

It was awful. Kept drinking to stay hydrated but that would come right back up. Still feeling a bit monged but certainly better than yesterday. Good thing is I've got zero appetite.

Thanks for the concern. I feel much better, though went down for my workout with my trainer today and I kept getting light-headed. Think I'm still a bit dehydrated and haven't taken much in calorie-wise since Friday. Not like the scale is complaining ;)

How's everyone else doing? Eating well? Exercising? Seeing changes on the scale?

I wish, but work/life gets in the way. Plus I had to cancel my training sesh on Sunday which was £60 out of my pocket for nothing :( So need to do the best I can with what I have. Managed some laundry and ironing this morning - now off to work, hopefully I won't pass out on the drive ;)
 
Hello all,

Hope everyone is doing good this week. Hubby has lost about 3-4 kilos since starting 5:2 with me. We just bought him three new suits last weekend and they're already a bit big on the waist! He's quite the hottie and only needs to lose another 2-3 kilos tops, but he's in the zone which helps me.

So, as you Brits say, I'm officially in the 13's! Woo woo! Just did another clean out of my closet. I'm purging like crazy! Had a few NSV's this weekend (Stones were amazing, btw): I wore my motorcycle boots and not only were they not tight on my calf, but I can fit my hand in them whilst they're zipped up! Also, we walked about a mile after the show and even though I was wearing a skirt, my legs didn't chafe! No more chub rub for me!

I'm having a treat day tomorrow as it's payday lol I'm getting really frustrated with my weight loss sticking but when we go shopping tommorow we r doing only a healthy shop and I'm cutting right down on carbs and calories. Probs go back to the beginning of my balloon without the barfing lol but really small portions regularly hoping that will help

Cheat days are always great! Try mixing it up a bit. Our bodies get used to the same things - especially food. Maybe distribute your calories differently during the day? Don't eat past 7:00? Have only a very light dinner? Cutting carbs always works well for me but if I'm low calorie I crave granola bars like crazy so I have difficulty doing both at the same time. Enjoy your treat day!
 
I had balloon out in November I started slimming world but it's too weird because the balloon trains you to have small portions but SW wants you to eat loads. I've researched 5:2 n seems a good option. Is it ok do you feel alright can you concentrate etc?
 
Hi it's hard isn't it. We should motivate each other!!! I've had my balloon out n i was on self destruct!! I'm back on track now!

I think smaller portions are the way to go, especially if you have portion control issues like myself. I'm really digging 5:2 and I've lost about 8 lbs since I started it. This first week is awful, all you can think about is food, but 500 calories is more than enough. I don't eat until about 2 pm on my fasting days which helps, as does copious amounts of water. My husband is loving it. The day after a fast you are sated by such a small amount of food. I'm really enjoying it which is incredible. I'm only miserable two days a week instead of every day like a normal diet ;)
 
Oh dear my sickness has retuned with vengeance. How I've missed having my head down the toilet.....not. The only thing I've eaten differently is a granola bar, could it be nuts?
Going to be a long day as supposed to be going to the theatre tonight!

Nooooooo! Oh, how I hate vomiting :( Maybe it was the sugar in the granola bar? Possibly stick to liquids for the rest of the day? So sorry that you're feeling poorly.
