Gastric Balloon Any ballooners out there? Support needed!

Feeling c**p. Something I ate yesterday has not agreed with my balloon. I have been feeling sick all night (almost sick twice) and now I've got stomach cramps (upper tummy around the balloon) and now also diarrhoea. Not great when I've got to go to work not to mention the smelly burps.
Also to top it off got some of my fibromyalgia symptoms back as well pain in ankles and shoulders :((

The procedure was over in next to no time and the first night was ok, although it was difficult to stay on my left side. Last night was worse...stomach cramps and heartburn and could only sleep on my back (which I don't normally do). I'm a tired bunny right now... :4635:

But so far no throwing up!

Starting weight 118.5 kg for those who want to know. :D

Glad to hear it went well. Yes first few nights will be difficult on the left so I slept with pillows either side to prevent rolling over. Now I can easily sleep either side I try not to sleep on left but wake up in some weird position everyday.

Hope you get some rest and a better night sleep today.

My starting weight was 122kg and tomorrow will be 3 wks in and I'm now 116kg.

Yes first 11 days I lost everyday than for 10 days I lost nothing got quite frustrated but realised must of been due to sickness. Yes I'm doing ok food wise check out the 6 week foods we allowed on the NOSC web. X
 
Is anyone with the NOSC having regular phone calls weekly and what kind of things are being talked about. I haven't had a proper one yet due to computers breaking etc xx
 
You'll get foods that are allowed 0-6 weeks then 6 weeks up. For now stick to liquids. I had ice cubes, ice lollies, water, weak tea, Hartley sugar free jelly, thin soups and mini milk ice lollies for first few days then built up to thin yoghurts by week two you'll hopefully be able to eat proper foods from the 0-6 week food list. Once support calls start ( week 2 they will tell you to follow the 0-6 week plan list of foods) up till then do and eat what you feel is best xxx

I didn't get a call till yday from support due to system failure. I've decided on weekly support calls. Yesterday's lady was a tad rude with me tbh. As she asked me what I had been eating up till that call and I said I'd tried a cracker as advised to help with the sickness in week 1/2. I find each one gives different advice! I was told to do what felt right until balloon settled which was about week 2. I've not been eating much anyway I stick to quorn and tomatoes and vegs. And my calorie intake is usually 500 cals a day. What week are you in? X
 
Oh and I was asked a list of questions such as why I wanted to lose weight etc wasn't like intense or anything. She said you can refuse support if you like too. But I did it with them for the support and you don't get same person each time which I find quiet weird tbh x
 
Yeh I have had a few system failes and things to stop the calls. But I feel like there quite rushed and don't have the chance to get any advice ? But yeh I had too fill out section one of the work book but haven't been asked anything bout it ? Hmm very odd. I'm on week 5 now. And think the weight loss is slowing down which I'm a bit scared about ! Xx

Yes I think that too. I find the calls to be quite patronising as in I'm repeatedly asked why I want to lose weight - so I feel like they don't listen. So you are not alone in thinking that!

okay I'm glad it's not just me although the amout it costs I would like more support. I have gone from 14.2 too 12.8/7 which I'm happy with but now feeling like I've stopped. Usually I'm eating an oatibix and semi skimmed milk.
Two oranges. Home made veg soup few cups of tea and some kind of vegetable mix with pulses or beans for dinner (I'm a veggie) what about you typically ? Xx

That's brilliant! In 5 weeks!! Well done. Hope I can follow your steps! I take it you have the spatz in too? I felt like weightloss stopped week 2 when I didn't lose I'm 116kg now I hope to break into the 17st by end of march hopefully. My typical is porridge for breakfast, low fat yoghurt and orange for snacks and then some chicken soup with veg or quorn with veg. And tea and water throughout the day xx
