BANDERS UNITE ! Get to know each other chatter !

Yeah it was allright, dad-in laws jump leads in PC world car park !
My eldest is ill again poor little devil, these colds have lasted nearly a month in our house.
LOVE Being Human!!!!!!!!! It's an amazing show !

I am probably going to play the sims 3 tonight :D as World of Warcraft is laggy with our current IP and we are going to switch this week.
I do love W.O.W though, awesome for taking your mind off the evening munchies.
(maybe someone from here will come join me one day questing and such :D)
Had Pizza yesterday and made jumbly bumblies today for treats (oaty home made choc chip cookies made by moi)
They were nice but I am actually not that fussed and really looking forward to getting back on my eating plan.
Not sure if I can exercise in the day tomorrow as I think eldest son is too poorly for school tomorrow.

Evening all. I have not been very well today. I also think I have a hernia. I have a large lump by my belly button:(. I have had a read up on the net and apparently can occur as a result of weight loss in obese people. I have an appointment on 18 March for another fill and will get them to check it out.

I think the feeling under the weather is down to the heavy day I had Friday. I am going to sort out my bits and pieces for tomorrow and get to bed.

Neen it is not painful but I know what you are saying about not leaving it. I may have had it a while but because I have lost a bit of padding on my tummy it is more prominent and I can feel it. I am dreading telling my boss that I have to have more surgery:sigh:. I will try and ring the bariatric nurse in the morning and see what they recommend - that is if I can get hold of her:rolleyes:.

You are right and if it is a hernia I know it cannot be left. My dad, bless him, had one and kept putting off going to the doc. He eventually saw a doctor and two days after that it ruptured and we nearly lost him. So I am not going to take any risks and Ming Ellen will have to lump it - thanks Sarah that is a great name for her:D.

Thanks for your support Neen - you are a gem.

Well I ended up having me an old lady afternoon nap :)
isn't that what Sunday's are for?
I got quite a bit done, put off loads though and really should get a shake on now as moving soon. First got to find a house to move into!!! Rental is such a quick turnaround it's pointless looking too soon and I feel panicked if not got anything with a month 6 weeks to go. I hope to be moved by 18th April, if not it will have to be 9th May. Got to be out of this house by 15th May so would prefer the earlier date if I'm honest. With the way the market is atm its getting harder to find anything within my budget. It's a rental market now and boy they seem to know it.
I shall plod on.
TB bless you Neen is right, if it needs doing they need to give you that time to recover etc.xx
Neen hoping your son is better soon, kids seem to pass it to each other over and over don't they, it's only natural us parents get rolled into it too.
My poor dog isn't right :( she's a tough cookie but is squealing more and more when we touch her. I was hoping it was just a bit of tenderness and would ease after a couple of days but looks like I'm off to the vets this week. Hope it's nothing serious. She's such a good girl, we hardly know we have her most of the time save her very waggy tail and happy to see us face :)
Well I'm going to have me a read before lights out.
Have a lovely Monday everyone xxx

Hi Rache x I could do with a nap right now actually! But I am always blitzed on a Monday morning :(
I hope your dog is going to be allright x We're renting too and our contract is up in May so hopefully we'll hear from the owners if they want to renew contracts next month.
Try and make a list of stuff to do daily and cross it off as you go. Breaking it right down into really small jobs makes it less daunting and you can get much more done than you realise , tricking your brain like that.
I usually start trawling round rightmove.co.uk about this time of year just in case as well x
My eldest is feeling really awful today :( So just taking the little one in this morning. Luckily Dean works from home so he can take care of my poorly boy while I'm gone.
Transport are still not sorting our situation out and not yet heard back from CAMHS, so my dad offered to contact the Autistic society to see if he could find out how I can deal with this problem we have at the moment. Pain in the bum it all is.
Got little ones birthday on Wednesday and he's taking a cake to school for his class, plus I will make him a small one for tea time and then we have the party on Saturday, so I have to make the big cake this week as well. Lord help me!!!! I am determined to wait until Saturday to have anything treaty so I hope the old evening slimfast will sustain me til then!

Hi i am being banded on the 11/03/11, and i have been reading lots of pro and cons, i am hoping i will reach my goalin the next two years.

Hi everyone, Im tired too - its catching!

I have driven up to Darlington this morning which is where I am now. It was a lovely drive but also a long way ;)

Rache I hope your little dog is ok

I ma working away until at least Thursday, so although I get breakfast at the hotel the rest of my meals will be as and when :(

The hotel has a nice swimming pool though so I plan to use that maybe not tonight but Tues and Wednesday. I did a lot of walking yesterday 3 miles in 45 minutes, then a long hilly walk with the dogs (dont know how far - but also 45 minutes) my legs are aching a bit!

Hope your son gets better soon Neen.

Hi

I only just had my band two days ago and from looking through this site I'm starting to think it's sometimes not as successful as I had thought, is this true?

Hope it's going good for you still Sarah xx
Good luck at the vets Rache x I can't wait to see how we all do this week..sunshine makes me want to hurry up and get the rest off!
Welcome Janet and Caroline xx You will be fine as long as you follow the band guidelines...if you look at Mazza's thread about good band choices, you will get a very good idea of what to have for the best results when you are at the solid food stage.
Definately important to not rush into eating solid food before you are thoroughly over the op and not tender inside any more.

Caroline, the majority of members are bypassers and sometimes it does come across as anti -band, but please don't worry about it. Just because we are outnumbered, does not mean we are not successful.
Long term bands and bypasses even out anyway.
We certainly don't have the head start the bypassers have but we're all helping each other on this thread, to overcome any tricky bits and try and get everyone losing something, whatever the restriction or stage of the process.

Hey Mazza!!! Thanks hun, he is meant to be going on a trip with the school to London this Thursday but at the moment I can't see that happening...I want him near me if he's not properly better :(
Hotel sounds like it might be nice ! Hope you have a great week xxxx
